Give me any one of those top 4 players and I'd be happy. Of course I'd love another QB first and foremost.

I get this strange vibe that a very high pick will be used on a RB in 2023.

Oh look at that, two locals in the top three.

Jerry's all moist I'm sure.

I would love to have Bjian Robinson. It would be perfectly justified to take him.
The Cowboys need to get back to ground and pound.

I know nothing about him.

I would just prefer to not use premium picks on that position.

Then you've gotta give them a second deal to justify the pick, then they are overpaid and here longer than their shelf life.

I would churn the position every few years and use a 2-3 man rotation.

If anyone heads to Cabo instead of Oxnard, stay there.

But....our leader is all into triplets and stars and marketing, so....

If you can get an elite RB that's going to be the best in the league the second he's drafted you take it. The Cowboys have NEVER won a Super Bowl without an elite RB except Super Bowl 12. And then it was because they had an elite QB and a dominating defense.
The Cowboys aren't passing their way to a championship.Ive seen mocks already that have him going in the top half of the first round already. He might not even be on the board when we pick.

Yes but the league has very much moved away from the run game. All about QB/WR these days. I don't necessarily like it but they didn't ask me.

I should add that I don't disagree, but there's no real way to know if you're getting the best guy in the league. There's been many late first round backs lately that have been wastes.

Theres not a rule chiseled in stone that you have to be a passing team in a passing league. And Bjian Robinson would be a huge weapon in the passing game as well.
Keep in mind Robinson did all this behind a terrible Texas offensive line

Yep maybe. Can't say. Don't know a thing about him. I added a paragraph there after your response.

Uh, Tony Dorsett played in Super Bowl 12, and he was elite. In fact, he scored the first touchdown. 15 carries 66 yards.

Edit: I see where you changed it. But Duane Thomas was an elite back. 19 carries 95 yards 1 touchdown. He was just enigmatic and moody. But he was a great back.

Your original point stands, though. The Cowboys have never won a Super Bowl without an elite back.

I think Bryce Young is super talented, poised and has excellent leadership skills. He's Jalen Hurts but without better quarterbacking skills.
But he is frail as they come. He is very slight of built and short.

I have serious doubts about his longevity in the NFL. If a team drafts him, it better draft OL picks 2 through 6 because Young needs MAJOR protection on the pro level.
