Seems a bit high for Abram.

Simmons tumbles.
As soon as he wrecked his knee, it was pretty clear he would be extremely late or completely out of the Day One discussion.

The only real surprise here is how high McLaurin is.

He checks all the boxes for character and is a good player. But in the first? Not so sure about that.

I still think a team in the 20s could grab Simmons, especially one of the better teams or one that has a multitude of picks, say even the Raiders. He's an elite talent with a knee injury that isn't that serious by today's standards where guys come back from ACL injuries all the time.

Just don't see Miami going with Lock this year when their team will be bad this year and possibly in contention for one of Tua, Fromm or Herbert next year.

Could see him fall further.

This might be the worst Kiper mock I've ever seen...I think the "insiders" have quit talking to him...and kicked him out of the club.

1. Arizona - Kyler Murray QB Oklahoma -Sounds like the plan

2. San Francisco - Nick Bosa DE Ohio St.- Yup

3. N.Y. Jets - Josh Allen OLB Kentucky-Yup

4. Oakland - Quinnen Williams DT Alabama -BPA...but I don't like the fit.

5. Tampa Bay - Devin White ILB LSU- I get it Kwon Alexander left...but just don't see this happening. I think Bucs pull a shocker..go QB

6. N.Y. Giants - Dwayne Haskins QB Ohio St. I think the Giants trade this pick to the Cards for Rosen.

7. Jacksonville - Jawaan Taylor T Florida- Way too high for Taylor...this is where this mock goes off track.

8. Detroit - Montez Sweat DE Mississippi St.- Lions looking for the RKG...Building the NFC New England..they get their Gronk..T.J. Hockenson

9. Buffalo - Rashan Gary DE Michigan- They are looking DE...that's for sure

10. Denver - T.J. Hockenson TE Iowa- Nope

11. Cincinnati - Devin Bush ILB Michigan- Yip

12. Green Bay - D.K. Metcalf WR Mississippi- Nope

13. Miami - Drew Lock QB Missouri- Miami is tanking for 2020..everyone knows that except for Mel

14. Atlanta - Ed Oliver DT Houston- They need to get bigger along the D-line...not smaller

15. Washington - Brian Burns OLB Florida St. .....Burns isn't falling

16. Carolina - Clelin Ferrell DE Clemson -Nope...Carolina is going 3-4 defense...not a fit.

17. N.Y. Giants (Cleveland) - Christian Wilkins DT Clemson -Nope...this pick makes no sense

18. Minnesota - Jonah Williams T/G Alabama...Most over-rated player in draft.

19. Tennessee - Dexter Lawrence DT Clemson- Possible

20. Pittsburgh - Deandre Baker CB Georgia- Possible

21. Seattle - Chris Lindstrom G Boston College- Don't see it since they just signed Fluker and Iapati

22. Baltimore - Erik McCoy C/G Texas A...Good player...but a reach

23. Houston - Andre Dillard T Washington St....yup

24. Oakland (Chicago) - Josh Jacobs RB Alabama..possible

25. Philadelphia - Johnathan Abram S Mississippi St...possible

26. Indianapolis - Terry McLaurin WR Ohio St....WTH??? I got a 5th round grade on the kid

27. Oakland (Dallas) - Rock Ya-Sin CB Temple...possible...love this kid

28. L.A. Chargers - Cody Ford T/G Oklahoma...Ford is a wildcard...He could go anywhere

29. Kansas City - Greedy Williams CB LSU...Don't see the #1 CB dropping this far.

30. Green Bay (New Orleans) - Noah Fant TE Iowa...I can buy it

31. L.A. Rams - Garrett Bradbury C North Carolina St....yup...like it

32. New England - Irv Smith Jr. TE Alabama...hmmmm. Don't thnk so. Think they go BPA

I doubt he is a fifth rounder.

Kiper may be reflecting the idea that he is a rising player. He is a great team guy, willing blocker and has been a captain at Ohio State.

I would be shocked if he rises that high, but he is definitely a "safe" pick if you want a productive WR out of this draft and don't want to roll the dice on a toolsy trait only guy.

He is a complete player.

Here's what M Kiddy has to say about the McLaurin selection....

There are several wide receivers extremely close on my board, all with late Day 1 or early Day 2 grades. That includes Oklahoma's Marquise Brown, who hasn't been able to work out for teams because of a foot injury, and Ole Miss' A.J. Brown, whom I had here in my Mock Draft 2.0. It also includes McLaurin, a true speed threat who averaged 20.0 yards per catch last season. The 6-foot, 208-pound wideout ran a blazing 4.35 40 at the combine. Andrew Luck needs better weapons at wideout, even after Indy added Devin Funchess in free agency.
