Brad Kaaya- A lot of people like him, but he has a long way to go with his mechanics. He rarely steps into his throws and really drives the ball. May mean that he has a much stronger arm than what we see, but even when not pressured, I think his footwork and mechanics are poor.

Doesn't feel like a very good class overall, not quite as bad as 2009. Jerry almost always takes the exact wrong approach to each draft, so we should expect trading down, picking up extra picks, and maybe trading some future picks to get extra 2017 picks.

Some potential 2017 off-season needs will be:
CB - Carr's 2017 contract is voidable and Claiborne will once again be a free agent.
S - JJ Wilcox and Barry Church are free agents, plus Jeff Heath is awful.
MLB - Out-of-shape McClain might have finally sealed his fate. Jaylon Smith's recovery may keep him outside.
WR - Terrence Williams is a free agent and it might be time to find a legit #2.

Mahomes is a good option for us if we can expect Romo in 2018. Very high upside with high football character. If Watson and Kaaya hold up as the top two, Mahomes could very be draftable in the mid/late first

Davis Webb is his top senior but got Wally Pipped when Mahomes came in and he never got it back. Hence the transfer.

I would rather have Chad Kelly than most of those QBs . He is cool under pressure. Bama found that out the last couple of years.

Next year looks extremely top loaded with talent, but really lacking in depth--pretty much the opposite of the 2016 draft. I think 2017 is the year to trade up if you can afford it.
