They were saying on the radio this morning that they were showing the Memphis-A&M game on the jumbotron while the game was going on until Phil got pissed off. :laugh2:

That's definitely todays NBA, someone goes up for a dunk and everyone gets out of the way.

Until James makes 7 all defensive teams like Bryant has he will not be the best in the game. In fact his D is laughable.

Exactly. Kobe is the best now and we can start looking at him as the best ever if he keeps this up.

Kobe is a ball hog and the only reason he has his championships is because Shaq was on his team, he will not win another.

Shaq won one without Kobe, Kobe will not do the same.

Kobe is a great player, but what excludes him from that list is that they made everyone around them better. Kobe doesn't do that, or has yet to show it on a consistent basis.

Magic and Bird didn't play with Smush Parker either. If I'm not mistaken they both played with Hall of Fame guys especially Magic. Shaq won another ring because of Wade. He did nothing in the Finals last year

Touche.

Kobe doesn't play with a bunch of hall of famers ala Bird and Magic. Expansion is to blame for some of that - consider if the league eliminated four teams and distributed those players to the remaining teams.

Jordan only had Pippen as a HOF teammate, but he had a host of very good role players.

I also agree that Shaq won last year because of Wade. Going into that series I really thought Shaq was going to go nuts (as he usually does against the Mavs) but he was surprisingly a non-factor ('Zo was much more effective at center).

That's when I knew Shaq was officially no longer "the man". 'Bout time, he's pushing 35 now.

If Shaq is not on the floor for the Heat last year in the playoffs and finals the Heat would not have won the title, no matter how well Wade played or how badly the officials screwed Dallas in that series.

The only time Kobe has ever won anything in his career was with a future HOF center and the most clutch player of the current era
