All wrapped in one thread. Bear with me I'm on a roll!

They did an extended Kosar interview on NFL network. They start by busting him on how slow an unathletic he was. He had no arm and terrible mechanics. Yet he won wherever he went. Remember LTN it was Kosar who won the first Miami National Championship and not onebrow...

On teams trying to blitz him cuz he's a statue. That was always his chance to take shots down field. Similarity is Bledsoe.

On his weak arm. Said overated - all you need to judge is does the ball get there? He scoffed at all the gaga big armed qb stereotypes. (Hos he was staring at ya man when he said it) :p: Analogy is Romo who just knows where to put the ball. Brady was a 6th rounder because he was too slow and had a weak arm. Hellloooo

On mechanics (poor) he said man in the heat of the battle it just has to get out. Don't matter how and back to does it get to the receiver. That was a great Henson analogy. Said you can't be thinking mechanics on the field (his problem?)

He ended taking a shot at Bellicheck. Kosar said I'm an offfensive offense guy. Bill a young defensive coach didn't really understand offense. Worst thing is to have a defensive offense. Dang - that sounds all about what Parcells is today. A defensive offense is what we are running. Until later in games we needed comeback or Eagle games. Bledsoe has prospered playing offensive offense and WILL struggle if we roll out Seattle gamebook.

And thats why Drew Bledsoe called out and went after the Tuna. He had seen enough of the defensive offensive gameplan and threw the damn red flag at it.

All in all a great piece with many relevant tangents that had relevance here.

Yea I watched it.

I believe our offense plays not to lose sometimes....and like Kosar said " We need to have a more Offensive offense"

Thought it was funny that Belichick fired Kosar from Cleveland for drawing a play in the mud on the field which resulted in a touchdown.

I think we're going to see the same "conservative" playcalling until our O can stop shooting themselves in the foot

I think a part of the conservative offense last week was also testing the waters without Flozell. They took a step back, made alot of plays on the safe side just to see how well Drew would be protected.

I don't blame them, under the circumstances. However, now that they have their feet wet, I definitely want to see something more aggressive.

What is he up to these days?

Could make a nice coach at some level.

Yeah Kosar had many bad traits but he had three very good ones... he was accurate inspite of his odd release and he had good touch on the ball. He also had a great mind and didn't make dumb decisions.

I like Romo. I would like to see him get a chance to start at some point.

I can just see Bernie.

"OK, Webster, you're the bottle cap, you run an out. And Jackson, you're the stick here, you run a slant."

BTW, I googled Bernie and this is what I came up with. The song is a pure classic.

Bernie! Bernie! Ohhhh, yeah! You can throw!

Romo? Henson?

Sweet - your out now is to rally a Romo charge to replace the 5th rated NFL qb! I see your devious desperation. Picketts charge? eh

And if it comes to Romo the season is lost and I'm no fan of that. I sense thats what you wish for based on your posts. Godspeed.

Listen Wilma... I never said I wanted Romo to start this season.

Hey, if we get to the point where the playoffs are not an option yes I would like to see either he or Henson get an opportunity. Why not? Bledsoe is an "old" 33. He won't be around forever.

Listen Micheal:

This team punked Philly and is all that and in the race. Pull your mid season "quit" card. Go girl. And predictable.

Fact is we are in the playoff hunt and Bledsoe on All Pro pace and your panties are all wadded up.... :laugh2:
