For years people have complained about the softness of this D. Now we get a mean son of a you know what and people complain. Smh. Maybe 1% of NFL players are mean and have 0 character flaws

That instagram post echoes some of the comments we've seen of other team-mates talking anonymously about him -- he thinks he is god's gift and he has let it all go to his head.

Again, I'm probably jumping to conclusions, but that Instagram doesn't make me want to leap up and yell out "THANK GOD WE SIGNED THIS GUY"

I think that for the most part, the majority of fans are tired of the DL impersonating blocking dummies and seem to have to ask for permission to sack the QB. I don't care if you paint your face, shave your head, skip to the huddle, or wear pink shoes with bows on them, if you put pressure on the QB and sack the QB; then bring it on game day. Gosh darn, we starting to get a little choosy now.

At least give the guy the year he needs to prove himself here.

He's got exactly the kind of personality this defense needs. Swagger, cockiness, whatever you want to call it.

Almost a must to sign him longterm. What sticks out is that he uses the America's Defensive End tag quite a bit.

... I think he likes that moniker and we will see him longer than 1 year. You can only use it when you are on one specific team

Not a big fan of weird-for-attention behavior. Didn't like it from Bennet when he was here, either. But it doesn't really matter. This guy can play. At the end of the day, that's all I really care about.

that's part of his MO. He produces, has fun, wants to brand himself. Some at Carolina (read Higher ups) were not overly enamored by that part. Teammates saw it as fun

I think that kind of outwardly facing attitude has very little bearing on the game.

Look at the Patriots defense. How much of that did you see? Did it matter?

Like I said, it's just my opinion. There are players that want to win badly and then there are players who take it personally.

All the best athletes take their matchup very personal. Michael Jordan and Reggie Miller are good examples this. You could also just look at basically the entire seahawks defense lol

Very similar to the way Dez plays on offense. With Hardy on D and Dez on the O we will not lack passion or attitude. This defense has been missing that for years.
