I think that they were asking for only a 3rd for him.

Evidently, St Louis offered their 2nd round pick back at teh draft for him, but the Panthers wanted a 1st and held. It looked like they were really getting fed up with him because he missed some workouts, but he came in in great shape and has played really well for them through preseason and yesterday so I would say if they are still entertaining offers it would take a 1st.

Jenkins would fit a 3-4 pretty good actually. Problem is again that he can't stay injury-free.

no, i was talking about JENKINS. he is a pass rusher, useless in a 3-4 defense. yes i know he is fat but being fat does not automatically = run stopper. he is strictly a pass rusher. he is a gap shooting 3 technique DT. not a guy who sits back to take on 2-3 blockers which is what 3-4 NT have to do.

Jenkins hasn't really been a 3 technique DT for a while now IMO. Besides, Phillips uses more of a 1 gap 3 tech type for NT in his scheme anyway. I'd sign him just for depth and rotation but I wouldn't break the bank on him by any means.

well just ask any panthers fan then. kemoeatu is the run stopper in carolina, the guy who takes on blockers. jenkins however is stritcly a pass rusher, just like shaun rogers from the lions and sam adams from the broncos. they're all big guys but for some reason everyone thinks they're run stuffers just because they're big.
