If Kubiak is hired here, that means they are scrapping the Garrett offense, which isn't a bad thing.

Find it odd Kubiak is known as a qb guy when Schaub has crumbled before our eyes.

Schaub lost whatever he had before he tore ligaments in his foot. That is not the reason he lost his job, he is just not a good QB and never really was. He had a running game which made him look better and the offensive line then wasn't too bad. He throws a weak ball and can not read defenses well. As for Kubiak, we don't want him here. Texan fans complain of the same things we do.....predictability, lack of creativity and not very adaptive to implementing necessary adjustments.

I remember Jaws having Schaub ranked ahead of Tony in his preseason rankings. lol im sure many did here too though. Im sure he.ll be a backup somewhere.
Houston should be a good situation though for whoever they bring in, they arent this bad, theyve justquit. Number one pic wont hurt eithe..i dont think keenums the answer but they need to play him rest of the way, no more bringing in schaub nonsense

Bad decision imo. Firing Kubiak does nothing during the season for their team. We all know how Wade is as HC, and to repeat myself that does nothing during the season for them as well.

Their season is done anyway. All they are playing for at this point is draft position.

They are probably trying to get a jump on hiring their next coach before somebody else does.

That's exactly why I posted that. Bob McNair actually spoke in complete sentences without doing uh...hmmmm. Uhhhhhh....

LOL.

McNair is a chump. He didn't want a dome for the new stadium. Fortunately, the rodeo demanded a dome, which is needed in a place with a climate like Houston's. He named his franchise the Texans, which is a dumb name. When they started they brought in lots of players with Texas ties. Guys that were born in Texas or played high school or college ball in Texas. He basically said that Dallas can be America's team, but Houston will be Texas' team. He isn't any brighter than Jones.

John Clayton said on Sportscenter that Houston will at least talk to Wade Phillips about becoming the next head coach. I can't understand why they would even bother with that step. Just go ahead and move on to the list of real candidates.

I don't think Kubiak is THAT bad of a coach, really. He'll get another opportunity somewhere. Hitching the team's future to Schaub hurt them big-time though. The Houston offense is very similar to the Seahawks - heavy run, play action fake. A QB like Russell Wilson would have made all the difference.

I don't know. Things had gone pretty far south under Kubiak. Andre Johnson storming off to the locker room during the game probably sealed his fate. They aren't trying to win this year. They're just trying to stop the bleeding.

They probably would have fired him sooner if he didn't have the heart issue.

I don't know anything about him but let's just say during his PC today he was impressive. Well spoken. I actually understood what he was saying and about 90% of the time I don't know what Jerry is talking about.

I don't care for the name Texans either but I like that bull logo.

The real reason Kubiak was fired in the middle of the season was because he pulled Keenum in favor of Schaub. everyone knows at this point the season is lost, and the owners wanted to see if Keenum was a viable QB or not. and instead of Kubiak adapting his gameplan to Keenum and what he can do, he instead tried to run the same offense as if Schaub was the QB, and opened up Keenum to struggles due to his lack of experience. There were no plays to beat the blitz, no quick passes, screens, or any type of plays to help Keenum succeed. Don't believe me? check out how fast they went from Schaub competing for his job, to Keenum is the starter for the remaining games...and what happened in between

IMO he brought this on himself. He should have figured out in the Oakland game, you aint gonna win with Schaub anymore.
