How is he a tool? He wanted to actually play, and could not in Dallas.

He's a tool because he signed a contract knowing he would be a back up then became a big baby by sitting out which forced Cowboys to let him go. He then plays one season and retires. Good riddance.

Apparently he told the press he will be back and never returned.

He just left! He told press he was going to a meeting right quick, would be back to talk, and then retired from the NFL.

This is amazing. Orton didn’t tell them he was going to be back then went off for lunch. He left the league! He told some people he’d be back in a few and he then left professional football forever.
