Vick is probably the #12-18th best backup QB in the NFL. He is not worth much more than a bag of peanuts.

People base too much on the past. Anyone who has paid attention to what Orton has done the last few months wouldn't rank him so highly. I'd also take Matt Moore over Orton.

Foles needs experience you let him play and see if you have a future with him. Let him see what he needs to work on. Most of all see if he has potential to be a good NFL QB.....

Sure starting Michael Vick probably avoids going 5-11 but they aren't going anywhere with either... In that situation I'd always play the young guy but its hard for a first year coach to take that approach I guess because he would be on the hot seat right away

Its a first year coach.. he's not going to concede the season before it even starts. That's just silly.

They let Foles play a little last year.. he wasn't good.

I didn't say throw the season, I said develop young talent, get him some experience and see if you think you need another QB of the future or if this kid is your guy, they only know one thing for sure and that is that Vick is not your QB of the future, I know you keep saying Foles wasn't good last year but he was a rookie and guess what?Michael Vick isn't good either so play the young kid not the old man.... It doesn't matter anyway Vick is incapable of playing more then 8 games and staying healthy at this stage of his career so Foles will get some snaps one way or another..... Who really cares anyway I was just saying if it was dallas I would be routing for them to start Foles or Matt Barkley....

"Getting the kid some experience and seeing if he can be the QB of the future" is basically saying you aren't going to start the best player, you're going to play this guy and are worried more about future seasons than the current one.

A first year coach simply can't do that, imo. Also, again he did get some action last year and he didn't look good.

He was a rookie last year, rookies tend to get better and Michael Vick played last season and the season before that and he didn't look good either but the difference is Vick is older so he isn't going to get much better... The Eagles aren't going anywhere with Michael Vick.... Now or in the future

This game isn't alway about signing/playing the best guy, a lot of times while your rebuilding you pass on veteran players to go with youth to try to build something and now would be the time to do it in his first year but again we will agree to disagree

You may be right and the Eagles may go nowhere with Vick.. but you have to play the player you think is best.. and right now, Kelly thinks that is Vick.
