Why is M. Davis so eager to leave Oakland? Seems like Oakland has a ton of fans and is very profitable...but I'm just guessing

Sunday NFL ticket sales should rise exponentially in the LA area next year.

Nobody wants to watch the Rams.

Yup, I just heard the Rams are going back to LA. Blows my mind. If the Raiders move to San Antonio, a lot of fans in the Bay Area are going to be furious. I lived in northern California in the 80s not long after the Raiders moved to LA. People were outraged. They called the team the Traitors. The Raiders have a lot of following by people who like them as a family tradition going back to when they were a great team in the 70s. The team really hasn't accomplished much in recent years. Do they really think they'll have an easy time attracting a fan base in San Antonio? If they want to, they'd better start winning a crap load of games.

That new stadium, at least what I saw from initial design, looks like it will be gorgeous.

do you think this vote makes this move more realistic now?

beyond leveraging?

I honestly am not sure. I had heard if the Raiders can't move to LA they'll attempt to go to San Antonio, but I don't know if that's realistic or not. Whether or not they could pull it off, it doesn't seem smart to me. They have a huge and fanatical base in Oakland. I just don't see them getting that in Texas.

I thought Inglewood was a crap hole area of LA? I'm sure traffic is going to be even more of a delight with an NFL game every Sunday.

LOL. Yes, LA traffic, one of the reasons I'm glad I don't live there. I drove there in 2012 and the traffic scared the **** out of me. I already can't stand the reckless way people drive where I am. In LA it was the Wild West, a total free-for-all.

This portion of Inglewood is being redeveloped and doesn't look too bad. There's parts of Inglewood that are run-down, but this particular spot ain't bad.

It's super convenient from the airport; along with Levis Stadium and it's relation to the San Jose airport, LAX is about 10-15 minutes away even with traffic.

You dont build stadiums in nice residential areas. Only Pauley pavillion (UCLA) is a sports venue in a nice area. USC is in the hood. Also the land around the new stadium will be developed in an upscale manor. The Rose Bowl is actually in a nice neighborhood was built almost 100 years ago. That would never happen today.
