Lack of penalties...

Anybody notice the lack of penalties? ESPECIALLY by our o-line?

Only 7 called the entire game...4 on us. Not alot called by the refs today when I did see a couple on the Bucs that should have been called such as the facemask on Barber and the block in the back on a punt, but it seems that our o-line was very disciplied today....loved that!

Yep, only 4 on us and one of those was an absolute travesty of justice - The illegal contact on Sensabaugh.

It was the many non-calls against the Bucs that were killing us all game long, and to be fair that's the main reason the game was so close for so long!

I still want to know what Flozell did to get that penalty that killed a drive.

Why did Flo get personal foul call? They never showed it. I think he was mauling someone up field, as he wasn't really in the play?

Again the TV coverage of the play was poor.

They didn't focus the camera on Flo but i did see him pick up some speed and head towards a buccaneer. He most likely hit him when he wasn't paying attention.

That Sensabaugh one was silly, it didn't slow him up and didn't impede the play. Ticky-tack call. That happens on MOST passing plays where the defender is that close.

He made contact grabbing towards the collar as he went by. By rule, that's illegal contact.

I've seen worse not be called that's why it's upsetting...

Understood and not upset about it....just saying that it didn't have any impact on the play......it neever slowed him up and it wasn't really even a "grab".....a grab would have slowed him down.

Again, yes, it was a penalty, but it was ticky-tack and happens all the time and isn't called very often... unless the WR is obviously slowed up...It was more of a swipe.

Yeah thats what I saw. Nice to see the big fella mad and running, just too bad he got a penalty for it. Good job to him though for no false starts today.

The lack of stupid mistakes was very encouraging. This team could be quite good if we can keep that up.

That was so blatant, right in front of the ref and near the play too! I lost it a little after that play.

I don't know if this was a new team but they missed a ton of calls today.

Stevens got beat by Spencer and grabbed a handful of the back of his jersey, which was an obvious hold that was not called.

Also did they take down McBriar on the punt BEFORE the one where we got the penalty? It sure looked like he was going down but the camera went downfield and I couldn't tell for sure.

The illegal touching penalty on Crayton... I'll take those penalties all day long too. They're rare, but it could have saved a turnover. I thought it was a great play that saved points, so I don't really consider it a "penalty."

I was thinking he probably could have gotten to it legally but, yeah, that was a pretty harmless 10 yards considering what could have happened.
