Yea but how many are better? Bunch of cheap arses

And the reason to not listen to Broaddus.

There is no promise you'll get those RBs in the draft. If our front office likes Miller and he is asking for a reasonable price, sign him.

Probably the best play here for the Cowboys would be to trade with SF who will be looking for a QB
in the draft. I would suggest that the Cowboys take Ezekiel Elliot just before the Gints would take him.
That would give Dallas another high pick in the 3rd probably that they could use to select a QB to sit and
learn from the master. EE would instantly help Romo and our offense be even more deadly than with
Murray. If I were the boss for a day and I could, this would be the direction I would definitely try and get
done.

Elliott would be absolute stud here. That said I see no circumstance where he is drafted by the Cowboys. They will either draft a QB or defense in round one. I dont see any other outcome

If Jerry really wants to give Romo & Witten a shot at SB glory, he has to work a deal for a trade down to get Ezekiel. This is the one player that
can take the Cowboys back to the promised land. We need one piece of the "triplets" puzzle to fill out our ticket so Jerry get er done.

You act like McFadden getting 10 carries a game would hurt Miller's production. With how much we run the ball, Miller would still have a great amount of carries. Also, I'm a little unsure why you think McFadden would eat into Miller's carries anyways. I think we'd give the rock to whatever RB looks best and that would most likely be Miller.

Also McFadden has one year left on his contract, I doubt he gets another deal with us. It would be idiotic to pass up on a RB that fits our scheme because we have the injury prone, well-known draft bust in our disposal.

If they weren't going to pay Murray big money... they probably aren't going to pay Miller big money.

Bigger chance they'd sign Forte, Chris Johnson or Alfred Morris.

They probably arent going to pay Miller and shouldnt have paid Murray. However Miller is considerably younger without the wear and tear, or injury history of Murray. I dont think he fumbled as much either.

I think Miller is a wonderful back.

I just think his asking price is beyond what the Cowboys are willing to pay a back.

If he's a wonderful back he must be hiding it until this next contract is signed.

People are going a little overboard on this Miller stuff. His next great year will be his first. He's been nothing more than decent in Miami.

Yeah because the playoff teams this year were littered with elite RBs. Most of them were watching the games from the same place you were. If you're placing all your SB hopes on a RB, you're doing it wrong.

I would rather draft some young buck with brand new wheels. Running backs not named Peterson hit walls early

If you want to emulate the 90's masters, then you got to have your Emmitt to open opportunities for Romo to get the ball into wide open receivers
down the field.

He was under-utilized. You know, like how we used Harris on punt returns and gadget plays..then come to find out he's actually a pretty good receiver.

This signing would take some of the sting of not getting Elliott.
Some....but not much.
Elliott is the offensive rookie of the year behind this O-line.

If he has that type of impact then they should just draft him at #4. I don't believe that's th case but if he's that good he should very well be drafted at #4.

The only thing about the 90s I care about emulating is the SB trophies. This is a different era of football and pretending what worked then works now is not based in fact. The fact is most teams use a RBBC approach and it works just fine. This is a QB driven league and will be that way for the foreseeable future. You do not need an elite RB to win and you definitely don't need to maneuver around the draft risking a high pick on an UNPROVEN RB. And if we're picking an area to emulate from the 90s I would rather it be on the defenses side of the ball.

Wasn't the money factor with Murray an issue with his injury history? I know McFadden was not an object of durability but he also wasn't asking for 8 million a year.

Miller is 24 and could really help us in my opinion.

Not that I personally agree, but I really think Dallas likes what they have in DMC, Turbin and Dunbar. Certainly enough so that they will not go big on signing a guy in free agency.

Just wait until DMAC tweaks his hammie again.

People will be screaming that we should have drafted a top RB.

I just think it's crazy not to fix the biggest Achilles Heel we have other than QB backup.

If they don't select one with one of their top 2 picks this year..

we will know the insane asylum is in full session at Valley Ranch.

This is before the 2015 season. Just a month before they were touting how Randle could be a 1,000 yard rusher. McFadden had a good stretch of games at the end, that was about it. This doesn't take away the 7 years of injuries and him being 30 years old in a year. Getting a young RB should be a priority.

Also, I'm a little unsure Forte and Morris will come as cheap as some people are thinking. I think Forte will want a pricey 2 year deal, and Morris is still young himself who had 3 straight 1,000 yard seasons before being underused this year. As for Johnson, Cardinals seem open to resigning him and I won't be surprised if he's back in a Cards uniform again.

Funny how Jay Ajayi made this guy irrelevant in Miami.....to the point they don't even wanna resign him. So who is laughing now? I told you people Ajayi was a stud. Ajayi could have been a Cowboy for low 4th rounder. Go figure.....:banghead:Welcome to 4-12 hell:mad::thumbdown:
