Lamb and Pickens benched for a series. Is Schotty now Coach and not a pal?

Doing what he is supposed to do makes him a tough love coach?
No I think he is about accountability and doing what he's supposed to tbh. He's not perfect, he's a flawed human being like the rest of us. But he is a good head coach who does a lot of the right things. And right now he has us very close to .500 with a team that I don't think anybody thought he would have even playing at that level. I think with the diversity this team is going through they played very well today.

Doing what's he supposed to do, yes.
Which components are dear to your heart, Old fellow?
The paint ball, the goodnight calls, the Greek Dancing, the locker room changes? Which, old fellow?
Yes, benching can be tough love.
Sort of like when your dad took away your hula-hoop.

I was critical of this initially. Must win game and you trot out Flournoy and Tolbert as your starters? Momentum in the NFL is fickle. The team wasn't performing well coming into this game, and going 3-and-out on drive 1 was a concern.

I was wrong. If they both broke curfew partying on the strip, I don't hate the message being sent, and it seems the message was received. Both played lights out tonight. Pickens was incredible. They're feeding off of each other and the fact that two alpha receivers like each other enough to go out on the town together...in Vegas...is good news. It means there is chemistry and not clashing egos. We're 10 games into the year and many thought that these two wouldn't coexist. They're thriving. There could be a legitimate future that includes both of them in Dallas long-term.

Gotta Hand it to the old, stubborn GM. The trade for Pickens was an excellent move.

Wish they’d start benching lamb for his drops
Hard to do that when he catches far more than he drops and most of his drops happen because he's trying to make a play. Receivers can sometimes take the catch for granted because they are thinking about what they are going to do with the ball to try to turn the catch into a big play. Lamb is guilty of that at times. Usually, it's not like it was in the Philly game, though, where he was trying to do too much and ended up with several drops.
