The concussion protocol requires an independent neurologist to review and clear the player. The owner or the team doctors do not get to make the decision.

Who pays the "medical staff"? You guys have just started watching the NFL.

And again, not one of you countered the MAIN point: One concussion makes you more likely to get another...so..."cleared" be damned...I know what I saw and what has happened when players - like Tua - return too early.

They were warned and ignored it...and it seems many of you are drinking the koolaid.

No system is perfect, but the idea that Jerry can pick up the phone and direct the neurologist to clear the player is a reach.

That wasn't my "idea". Anymore than a commander-in-chief actually calls up a soldier or seargant and orders execution. But the tone and tenor ARE set from the top.

If Jerry - for whatever reason - wanted to hold CeeDee out...he doesn't play. The player can hold himself out. The doctor just clears you enough for a certain amount of risk...but there's no guarantee he's as healthy as he was before that concussion besides TIME. That's it...it's time. There's no magic bullet...it's the time from the last concussion.

So, I don't need Jerry or any individual body to state the facts. You are correct that I don't know about the specific diagnosis with CeeDee, but we do have TONS of data on how folks respond after similar injuries.
