I tried everything so I thought I'd post here. I need to change my firmware settings in BIOS to get a Ubuntu Virtual Machine to work on my Lenovo Ideapad U410 running Windows 8.1.
I followed YouTube videos that said go to PC Settings > Update and Recovery > Recovery > Advanced Startup and then went into UEFI firmware settings. It said "click Restart to change firmware settings." The YouTube videos showed it going into BIOS mode after clicking restart (and all the comments said "Thank you! This worked perfectly") but when I clicked Restart it did a normal restart.
I even disabled Fast Startup and pressed the F1, F2, F12 and Del keys before and as soon as the logo appeared but still no BIOS.
I even tried pressing the "Lenovo key" on the side of the laptop as some webpage suggested but still no BIOS.
I even had two guys who recently worked at Microsoft try to help me but still no BIOS.
So now I ask you all. How the heck do I get to BIOS?
