Zorn: Landry Hasn't Returned Calls

Safety LaRon Landry is now the only Commander who is unaccounted for during this round of offseason workouts. Linebacker London Fletcher and fullback Mike Sellers - who declined comment as they left the field today - both returned to work out earlier this week after missing Monday and Tuesday.

"I think each one of those guys, they have their plan," Coach Jim Zorn said today. "They're working their plan. Talking to London, he planned on being back. He planned on participating. He's working his plan. I think Mike's doing the same thing.

"The thing I was excited about both those guys just got right into it and started practicing hard. They've got a lot of recall themselves."

Landry, though, is not here, and Zorn said he has not been able to reach the third-year player by either telephone or text message.

"I think it's disappointing to his teammates as well," Zorn said. "But he's going to be ready. I fully expect him to be ready in training camp and go hard and have a great year. I'm not as concerned about him missing as just being a part of what his teammates are doing and the kind of stuff we're trying to implement here. He's going to be set back a little bit because of maybe a new concept here or there, but he's a tremendous athlete, and I think he'll be a good teammate."

Zorn is a weird, weird dude. People complain about Wade and I do get some of that, but at least we don't have a guy like Zorn who IMO is on his way to complete disaster.

Were these required workouts and such or the voluntary variety? I don't worry about guys missing the ones they're not required to make but I'd think guys should be at all the ones they are required to be at.

So would Brandon Jacobs.....

lol. I think there is still an imprint of Landry's body on the field.

Every year we get a player who doesn't show up for the voluntary team sessions, and who doesn't return calls from the coaches...every year we hear "rumors" in the media about that player either wanting to hold out or wanting a trade, or the team thnking of trading him...every year that player shows up for training camp on time...and every year the player plays well.

I've stopped concerning myself over it by now lol...
