Yeah, he was open and if Romo hits him maybe we tie the game.

Would you feel much better about the Cowboys chances on Saturday if Romo finds TO?

I really would not. We still would have given up at least 39 points!

I'm not sure it would have been a momentum builder anyway.

Even if he did see him, what are the odds we get the 2pt. conversion, then what are the odds we win the toss? Because the way the Lions were rolling on offense, it would have been over. The Boys had their chances and a few calls not go there way, but in the end, the Boys lost the game and are in the playoffs. Now we get to see what the Boys are made of, I suppose. :(

I'm sure we would have called the ole "Statue of Liberty Play" and Barber would have waltzed into the endzone (and then proposed to a cheerleader!) :D

Would Chris Myers ruin Romo's surprise, too?

Myers....before the guy proposes "I hear you're about to propose to your girlfriend - OH MY GOD, he's doing it!" Surprise destroyed. :(

I would have been a better TV moment if he looked a Myers and said "no".

I noticed that during the game as well. The defense abandoned their coverage responsibilities as Romo approached the line of scrimmage and TO was wide open in the back of the endzone.

I posted a comment about that play in the Romo "Overconfidence" article thread.

Yes I saw it very clearly in real time. This is one lesson he hopefully has learned. Brees has forgotten things Romo still hasn't experienced.

TO was open across the middle, in the back of the endzone... Romo panicked and ran off, oh well, gotta stop living in the past........

Yeah I noticed. On the previous play they had Crayton lined up wide right and Romo threw it out of the end zone. Then they line TO up on the very next play and I am screaming "FADE FADE FADE!!! THROW IT OVER THERE AGAIN!" at my TV. Romo tucks it and runs. I can't fault Romo for seeing what me might have thought was a TD. I just wish that toss would have gone to the right corner. The guy on TO was 6 inches shorter than him.. :(

Yeah I agree. We should all be well over it now. I just had to vent for a quick moment since I hadn't about that particular play.

Romo was going to run it no matter what. He started believing all the stuff that kids on message boards were writing about him.

He forgot that he actually belongs in the class with Hogeboom, Walsh, Laughenburg. (sp)

When Romo pulled the ball down and decided to run there was a defender standing 1 foot to the outside of TO and 2 feet to the inside of TO.

He only got open because the defenders broke off defending the pass to attempt to tackel Romo who was already running.

TO was not open.

Now obviously he did get open after Romo had pulled the ball down and started to run. There was a split second before Romo crossed the LOS that TO was open. I'm sure his eyes were on the defenders trying to tackle him at that point. He obviously had already made the decision to run, because he's normally very good and drawing the defenders in with a fake run and then throwing the ball to the open defender at the last second.

I was going to ask you to support this with video footage but that would be juvenile even for me. I will say, TO give you a chance on a jump ball in the corner of the end zone every time. You've gotta throw it up to him and let him go get it.

For some reason I can't copy and paste videos like other people do. When I print screen and paste into a paint program the screen doesn't show.

I'll take your word for it. I still feel you have to take that chance. I would have rather seen TO lined up out there to the right on 3rd down than Crayton. I have more faith in TO going up to get a jump ball in the corner. On 4th down it becomes a crap shoot.
