Last Touchdown

I just wanted to get everyone's reaction about the last touchdown the pats made on 4th down. Was it racking up the score or not? I thought that a fieldgoal would have sufficed. Fire away...

I don't think the Pats needed to do that but then I don't want the opposing teams doing me any favors. If they want to run up the score then that is their call.

I thought it was running up the score. Hopefully we get a chance for payback.

We had a chance to stop it. We didn't. Not a big deal.

It wasnt running up the score because Wade called that idiotic timeout with about a minute and a half left and the ball inside our 15.

Also, I wouldn't doubt that Belichick was thinking ahead to possibly winning a point differential/total points tiebreaker for homefield with Indy.

It's not like it shouldn't be expected. Belicheat has more than proved his character carries shadows of the darker side.

If you believe in heaven and hell, you already know where he will be going. :laugh2:

Doubt it, he was probably just trying to cover the point spread that he had on his illegal betting. :lmao2:

They werent throwing from the shotgun - they were just running it. Having said that, It's Belicheck and the Patriots. I would not have expected anything different from those arogant @#$*s

Refresh my memory please. When did we run up the score on teams this year? I don't recall one instance of doing so.

A FG would've been worse because it's almost impossible to defend a chip shot. At least we could try to stop a run play, but that worked like a charm. They could've taken a knee. That would've been the most sportsmanlike action.

It wasn't running up the score...

Let's just say the Pats took a knee on the 4th down.

The Cowboys would of gotten the ball back with time left (clock stops on change of possession).

Then we miraculously score a TD in 1 play, do a onside kick, get it and score another touchdown. The score would have been tied.

Totally improbable scenario, but if you are the Pats you have to account for it. Especially after what happened in Buffalo.

I didn't think it was a big deal. So many people get upset about teams "running up the score" but to me you have still got to play the game til the bitter end and stop them. If your defense gives up then you deserve to have the other team score at will on you. If you're a man then you will find a way to stop them. If not, then you get run up on, it's that simple.

Don't like it, then stop them from scoring.

I thought it was running up the score but I expect no less from Mumbles and his classless team. Think back to what they did to the Chargers at the end of the playoff game last year.

i'd have taken a knee. if that was dallas and we didn't take a knee i'd be furious (risk of injury, poor gamesmanship, etc.).

but i'm glad we got kicked while we were down, maybe it will motivate the team or something to do more than just be an above average team in a mediocre league.

It's not like anyone didn't know what those last plays were going to be. They ran a #4 RB up the middle. Don't want the extra score, stop the guy on a 100% known play.
