Just in time for playoff push, sound off on who you think makes biggest impact: Darren McFadden, James Hanna, Randy Gregory, Jaylon Smith, Rolando McClain, Rico Gathers, Lael Collins, Charles Tapper. My choice is Randy Gregory, probably the most obvious. Sounds like his head is getting right and last year was a plus pass rusher at times. Seems like he is the only guy on this roster capable of bending the edge and getting around the OT.

It could be Gregory. He is with the team now (not in rehab) if I understand correctly.

Hanna seems very similar to Swaim at this point.

Run DMC not needed.

Not sure if Collins can return this season after having surgery.

No idea about Tapper's condition.

RoMc not playing for the Cowboys again, IMO.

Gathers not playing this year.

Gregory is the only one who could come in to have any kind of impact.....and I am not expecting much from him.

i really want to pick Jaylon, but that just doesn't seem realistic

Unfortunately the correct answer is probably.....none of the above.
Gregory is the only one I really see as a possibility. And even thats a hail mary.

Biggest late season X factor is Collins maturing as an interior rush and get sacks

James Hanna is the only one on the list who is likely to play significant minutes for the Cowboys this season. Collins would be next on the list. If he comes back and we have another OL injury, he could be a big-time contributor.

Collins or Hana will see the most playing time out of everyone on that list.

Swaim is turning into a pretty decent player. Hanna is probably not going to have an impact.

Frankly, I don't think any of those choices will, but you never know.

I think McFadden is more versatile and will be able to back up Zeke more effectively than Morris.

Out of these, I would pick Gregory and Jaylon most likely despite their respective drugs and injury issues.
I will give them about an equal chance of playing late in the season - say 50-50.
So I guess Gregory as #1 since a DL pass rush is the most lacking compared to LB play.

I think we're good on offense. Only player I want to see get back fully healthy in time for a playoff run is Dez. On defense, as good as we've been playing, it would be nice to have some guys back heatlhy: Scandrick, RoMc, J. Smith, Tapper and Gregory. Not sure if we might be better off as we are though. I don't want some guys coming in and messing with the chemistry.
