Pretty good draft.

The closer we get, the more Richardson becomes my #1 target. I see Warren Sapp in him.

Although I like Cooper more if that fell that way...I can not fault them for S. Richardson as he would fit as well.

i think it is pretty realistic

have been saying for a while that 2 QBs (at least) will go before our pick

we will have at least 2 of richardson, warmack, cooper, vacarro to pick from

in the current scenario i take richardson if his other issues check out

that will depend on the scouts, and unlike others on this forum, i am not even a youtube scout :)

Many seem to think Arizona may go for Barkley because of the fit.
I tend to think they could get just as good a player a full round later, the value is terrible.
They'd be passing up a chance to fill grab a "free" additional franchise typ player at another position with the 7th pick if they take Barkley there.
Been wrong before though....maybe Sanchez ends up a being a star.

i agree but in the draft, beauty is in the eye of the beholder

the reality is, we dont know that barkley will not turn out to be a perennial probowler and the best QB to come out of this draft

 Pass me that crystal ball you have.

Seems pretty reasonable really. Not sure how people can be at all surprised at how high any QB goes after Jake Locker, Blaine Gabbert and Christian Ponder. I'd take both Geno and Barkely over both.

Nothing else seems too out of wack either. Wont surprise me if 1 of the guards fall that far, just like DeCastro did last year.

Incorrect. It's far, far more realistic than mocks I've seen lately with a guard in the Top 5.

The Cards taking Barkley would be rich! Let's make an even bigger mistake then drafting Matt Leinart!

I doubt Mingo or Jones go top 10. Barkley at 7 is a joke to me. You can get him in the second round IMO. I don't love Smith at 8 either but I can see him going before I can see Barkley. A lot of NFL scouts did not love what Rhodes did at the Combine. Lots of question as to how good he can be at CB. He runs well in a straight line but his hips are really stiff according to some scouts. I don't know if he's a 1st rounder or not. I do not love Ansah at 15. I HATE Moore in the 1st round. I think Hankins is a third round pick. I think Short is a 2nd or 3rd as well. Okafor is also a 2nd day pick IMO. I would take Cooper and Werner over Richardson.

I just don't love this at all. I'm completely on a different page then most I guess.

Kirwan is more plugged into some agents and some gms than most. His opinions are always a mix of his analysis and what he is hearing from his buddies like Pete Carroll etc.

I don't know how you look at a draft and NOT pick a quarterback if your depth charts are Stanton, Skelton, Hoyer and Tavares Jackson. Those two teams are the bedrock minimum that will take qb in the top 10.

I have trouble believing Geno Smith gets past the Eagles because Mike Vick is an innacurate, brittle fumbling machine and Nick Foles has Landry Jones feet.

The GM in Cleveland was a TV GM that is on record has hating and laughing about the current quarterback and they don't have a 2nd round pick.

There is not a great prospect in this class on the Luck or RGIII level but there are several that have accomplished more than Tannehill had and are younger than Weeden.

I'll be surprised if EJ Manuel gets past the first round. He is huge, fast and had a 65%+ completion number.

If the top of the market for position players like Long and Averil is 7-8 million and Romo, Shaub, Cutler and Flacco are going for an average of $17 million people are going to take more chances earlier on quarterbacks.

Pop quiz -- when was the last time that only one quarterback was taken in the first round.

I'm not in HS anymore so I don't do Pop Quiz stuff but I can make a guess as to the last time. I know that it hasn't been in the past decade. I'm guessing late 90s. Maybe 97? I know that there were a couple of years back in the late 90s where there weren't any QBs to speak of.

1. Kansas City Chiefs -- Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
2. Jacksonville Jaguars -- Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M
3. Oakland Raiders -- Sharrif Floyd, DT, Florida
4. Philadelphia Eagles -- Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
5. Detroit Lions -- Barkevious Mingo, DE, LSU
6. Cleveland Browns -- Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia
7. Arizona Cardinals -- Matt Barkley, QB, USC
Before Geno Smith?
8. Buffalo Bills -- Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
9. New York Jets -- Dion Jordan, OLB, Oregon
10. Tennessee Titans -- Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
I still don't buy Star falling this far. If he really has a heart problem, he will fall much lower, if not, he will be near the top.
11. San Diego Chargers -- Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma
12. Miami Dolphins -- Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State
13. Tampa Bay Buccaneers -- Desmond Trufant, CB, Washington
14. Carolina Panthers -- Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
15. New Orleans Saints -- Ezekiel Ansah, OLB/DE, BYU
16. St. Louis Rams -- Kenny Vaccaro, S, Texas
17. Pittsburgh Steelers -- Damontre Moore, OLB, Texas A&M
18. Dallas Cowboys -- Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri
If his character issues check out OK, then he will get drafted earlier, IMO. If not, then the Cowboys won't draft him.
19. New York Giants -- Bjoern Werner. DE, Florida State
20. Chicago Bears -- Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee
21. Cincinnati Bengals -- D.J. Fluker, OT, Alabama
22. St. Louis Rams -- Keenan Allen, WR, California
23. Minnesota Vikings -- Datone Jones, DE/DT, UCLA
24. Indianapolis Colts -- Sylvester Williams, DT, North Carolina
25. Minnesota Vikings -- Tavon Austin, WR, West Virginia
26. Green Bay Packers -- Jonathan Cooper, OG, North Carolina
This would be the steal of the draft, but I don't think it happens. He could get drafted before Warmack.
27. Houston Texans -- DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Clemson
28. Denver Broncos -- Johnathan Hankins, DT, Ohio State
29. New England Patriots -- Kawann Short, DT, Purdue
Talent vs Work-Ethic issues.
30. Atlanta Falcons -- Alex Okafor, DE, Texas
I could see him not even getting picked in the 2nd round.
31. San Francisco 49ers -- Eric Reid, S, LSU
I just don't see it.
32. Baltimore Ravens -- Kevin Minter, MLB, LSU
He will have to run much better at his Pro-Day than the 4.81 forty and the 2nd worst 10-yard time of any LB at the combine.

Hmmm... I was thinking it was the best I've seen. I even think Fisher will go before Jockeal (sp?).

Eh, I guess we'll see in about a month.

I think Fisher will go before Joeckel. Then again, I don't really like Joeckel near as much as a lot of guys do so who knows?
