3 of those 6 players went on to have Hall of Fame careers (Randy White, Tony Dorsett, Troy Aikman). Who were the 3 that did not?

I hope this pushes Elliott even more.

Niland, Too Tall, Maryland, Newman and Morton were all top 5 picks I belive.

  • Russell Maryland (good, but not great player)
  • Terence Newman
  • Ed "Too Tall" Jones
  • Craig Morton
  • John Niland
  • Scott Appleton (never played for Dallas, signed with the AFL Houston Oilers)
I love Babe...but he didn't have all the facts I believe.

1 out of 3. Nice try. But Niland was drafted in 66, Morton in 65. 1970 is the key word, I guess its Babe's cut off for modern era.

Thank you for point out my oversite. However, all of the picks form 70 on are listed. LOL.....
