I think it is time for me to do this.
There is a natural law to the universe that I like to call the Law of Uncertainty. If you look at time as a timeline, (I'm not going to go into physics or anything) you can map every event in time on that timeline.
The Law of Uncertainty reads as follows "If you change any event at a point in time, then every event after that is effected."
One thing to remember, I didn't say that every event on after that is changed, but everything IS effected.
How does this relate to football, well, if we use the Ellis vs. Moss debate as an example. (I DON'T want this thread to have any bickering over the trade, its just an example) If we had drafted Moss instead of Ellis, then every draft following would have changed. Our draft position would have changed the following season, changing the draft position of almost everyone else due to the fact that every game that season would have been effected. Because the draft positions change, the drafted players would all change. This would change the make-up of every team, which would effect the following season, effecting free agency, effecting draft position and drafted players and so on. Now, this change could have been for the better, we don't know. It also could have been worse, we don't know.
Thats the whole point we don't know what one little change can make. Therefore it is entirely useless to continue to dwell on what has happened in the past. We Don't Know
