Kevin Colbert, director of football operations for the Steelers, said Tuesday there continues to be "mutual interest" between the organization and former All-Pro cornerback Ty Law.
Law visited the team's practice facilities last month and met with Colbert, coach Bill Cowher and chariman Dan Rooney, among others. Law, a native of Aliquippa, was released by the New England Patriots in a salary purge last February.

"We had a mutual interest when Ty came in for a visit, and I'd be safe in saying there still is," Colbert said. "Where it goes from here, I don't think any of us can say at this point. Our whole focus is on the draft (April 23-24). Then, after the draft, you say, 'OK, there's still somebody available. How can we do this?' We would look into things then. And, in this instance, both sides remain interested."

Law, 31, suffered a season-ending Lisfranc, or mid-foot fracture, Oct. 31 during a 34-20 loss to the Steelers at Heinz Field. He had surgery in January and is in the process of extensive rehabilitation. He was due to count $12.5 million against the Patriots salary cap before he was released.

The Steelers could use depth at cornerback. They return starters Willie Williams and Deshea Townsend, along with back-ups Ricardo Colclough and Ike Taylor. Chad Scott was released last month.

I amuse myself sometimes!

He's not coming to Dallas - Henry signing
Door ever so slightly open for a FS conversion if healthy.

When I read this I said, "oh no Nors, how could you?"

Then I ran to the "other" thread and saw the bet was off.

Man - I'm no Saint
But dang he throw a gauntlet down and called me out when I've been vastly ignoring the dude mostly. I stepped up - challenged him, called him and he cowered out.

He realized I would own his silly challenge and easily win. Then proceeded to throw Brainpaint under the bus.
