LB Carpenter sharing the reps... whaz up?

Are any of you concerned about this? I sure hope it means NOTHING!

*Undrafted free agent Dedrick Harrington was getting as many reps as Bobby Carpenter at inside linebacker. Don't want to overreact, but that can't be a good thing for last year's first-round pick.

It isn't like they are actually playing -- my guess is that Wade wants to get a look see at what other guys can do -- that's why Hoyte is back over at LB too. That may end up influencing decisions about pursuing vet LBs at this point

I don't see this as a problem at all. We are short an ILB because Fowler left & Phillips needs to find out asap if any of the undrafted rookie LBs we signed can contribute.

I suppose we should sign these UFA and let them sit around on the sidelines during mini-camps, OTAs, and training camp giving almost all the reps to the vets. That way we'll never know exactly how good they are. That sounds like a great plan to me. The day any coach comes out and says the UFA looks better than Carpenter or any other vet is the day I'll begin to worry!

Capenter is going to be a good player, nothing special I don't believe.

IF only Carpenter were a shade darker?
After seeing Bobby's play last season in the final games, Bobby has what it takes to be an impact player and anyone who is doubting it, makes me wonder why. He certainly won't be the weak link in this defense.
With all of the potential talent at linebacker, the Cowboys will probably be using a lot of shuttling of players anyway. It's going to be up to Coach Wade to mold this team into the championship team that it can be.
