Leaving Buffalo vs. New England

After Drew left New England and Brady went on to have two 14-2 Super Bowl seasons and the Pats had a dynasty and a 34-4 streak, even Bledsoe Bashers had to feel for the guy.

He (and Parcells) took the Pats from a pathetic 1-15 1992 team to the 1996 Super Bowl, and Drew came off the bench with what had to have been the greatest off-the-bench performance in NFL Playoff history, and took them to another Super Bowl, only to be shunned by his fans. People made it seem like the Pats would have won the Super Bowl every year if only Drew hadn't been there.

Buffalo tried to do the same thing, but in contrast, JP Losman didn't even last 5 games! Sweet revenge of sorts.

All that matters now is he takes this team deep. I sense a profound sense of urgency and desire by Drew to get this done with Parcells.

I will cry like a baby when Bledsoe hoists a Lombardi for us - and that is my goal.

This really does seem like the year for Drew. Remember, Drew never started for any other team that had won a Super Bowl. I am a New England native and lifelong fan, but after 3 Super Bowls, it does lose it's meaning. Dallas fans know what I mean. Then after the team changes around, you think back to lost glory and it becomes meaningful again.

Drew really does have amazing passing accuracy and I don't see that changing. As long as he doesn't get forced out of the pocket he's fine. Even then, I think Buffalo seasoned him and he's better now than 1996.

Bills fans make me sick, I see they are already laughing it up on their board about flozell being injured and now the 'real drew' will emerge. Talk about bitter feelings....

Every team has morons for fans...

Some Buffalo fans including myself are happy he's doing well in Dallas. He was all done in Buffalo, he wasn't going to have success there. In any case he's a class guy, i've always liked him, I wish him the best.

Why isn't it a Dynasty? The Pats won as many SBs this decade as we did in the 90's.

Dynasty = winning with more than one set of players and coaches over an extended period. Yankees, for example are a dynasty, as are the 'boys and the 49ers. Patriots now have the opportunity to become one but not yet.

Even the best stretch by a team is owned by the Cowboys. The Pats won 3 out of 4 SBs but failed to make the playoffs in the 4th year. Cowboys won 3 out of 4 and made the Championship in the 4th year, otherwise they would have won 4 in a row because the AFC sucked at the time.

Well, what would you call it winning 3 of the last 4 Superbowls?

Call it what you want, but 3 Super Bowls in 4 years (finishing 9-7 and losing the tiebreaker in the 4th year) is as good as it gets.

How many in a row did the Pats win? I'd take the 2003-2004 Pats over just about any team ever. They even beat Peyton the year he had 49 TDs. Did any Dallas team ever go 28-4 over two seasons (including a 26-2 streak)?
