1) Julius Jones is a STUD. I would be suprised if he did not have a big year barring injury. Moves, quickness, the whole package.

2) Tony Romo just makes plays. Moves better than I thought and gets rid of the ball nicely. I can see why Parcells likes him even though he looked small to me.

3) Drew Henson, this guy is scatter armed, and things look real shaky for a guy who may be heir apparent. In looking at his body language after he walked off the field on his second series, he did not look like a guy who was feeling real secure about his future. JMO

Funny thing is, we are getting other reports that he (Henson) looked sharp. I'll tell you what I can't wait for. TELEVISED pre-season games so I can make up my own mind.

We are all consumed about the backup QB.

To be honest, I don't care who backed Bledsoe up.

I don't like him, but I am not foolish enough to think that either Romo or Henson get time if he plays poorly.

As for the Henson issue, it is becoming clear that something is wrong. The fact that we are hearing day after day how bad he looks and then have to rationalize why? That should tell you that maybe this is another Chad Hutchinson that Coach Parcells was not just not stupid enough to start for half a season.

Any defense out there? How did Demarcus look? Did they go full contact?

What other reports have we been getting, that Henson has looked sharp?
All the reports that I have read here and on other boards talk of how he is struggling.

Careful. That is, careful before your so quick to bash Chad Hutchinson. In case you didn't notice, he played respectibly enough last season to already pretty much lock down the second string job in Chicago this season. In fact, he's probably faring better than any backup QB on our roster right now.

You cant start a thread after you have been at the scrimmage, and only say three things!!

We need a whole page of observations and Play by Play!!!

We should all be thankful that BP knows not to make an idiot move like Campo and that fool Coslet did, of course Jones was in on it also.
Jones has pushed to let Henson start and play, he pushed last season that is why Henson got to play against the Ravens and the start against the Bears.
Henson was forced on BP, I do not care how anyone spins it, about how much control BP has etc. Jones is the MAN, Owner/GM BP has alot of control but he still has to answer to JONES and bend to JONES's will. (the only way BP can get away from that is to quit).
Do you actually think that BP would go and sign a guy that has not played ball in 4yrs, no matter how much talent or potential he has, he just would not make a move like that. Why would he after going thru the same thing with Hutch.

Jones forced Henson on him so BP had to make the best of the situation, he did research on the kid talking to his Dad and old coaches etc.

Now all we as fans can do is hope this kid can do something.

For the guy who said some reports have said Henson was sharp.

He wasn't.

He was about 4-for-13 for 26 yards or so. Did have a nice 20-yard scramble.

Canty had a sack. As did Thomas Johnson -- three of them.

DallasCowboys.com will have it covered from all angles later tonight. :) ;)

Anyway, I can't seem to get a consistent report on how the QBs have performed so far including this scrimmage.

Some say Bledsoe has looked good, others say he hasn't.

The only consistent thing I had heard is that 'Henson has struggled'...until posters were saying that he 'looked the sharpest'. Seems like a lot of people are skewing the news based upon their personal bias.

Dale, can you please give me a quick blurb on how the QBs have done so far including this scrimmage. How would you rate them so far?

That was because he was all the Bears had when he took over. Hutch will only hold that second string spot until the rookie they drafted gets more experience.
