Et tu, CL? With the Ben Bass 'jokes'?

It's simple. You choose the marginal players and grandstand on them because its funny. Don't you get it. . . .

Some people like anticipating and then wallowing in failure.

In other words, he's risking having to face a motivated George Selvie and Nick Hayden.

Perfect example.

Not Melton, Crawford, or Church. Instead present things as bad a s you can without seeming absurd like with say Dartwan Bush or the like.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! !1211!!!! SO FUNNY!!!!!!

I've read many times (ok it's on here) that the Cowboys don't have an ounce of mean in them & the players don't fight or get pissed off if pushed.

I'm not saying that is true but maybe this guy feels he can say whatever he wants & so what? Nobody will care on the team.

Ben Bass won't stand for this.

In other words, he's risking having to face a motivated George Selvie and Nick Hayden.

well, i could tell you about the spirit of the day. It's been very discouraging the fact that we are all connected, much more personal and all knowing now. The world has shrunk considerably due to internet, facebook, tweeter and ect...

I came unglued When Choice ask Vick after they had just won for an autograph on National TV..I mean i could not sleep well that night.

I have come to understand time changes things and we as a nation are much more in tune as to separation of boarders were in the 70's and 80's.

It is what it is and i have come to except the fact that others hold respect for success /hard work/professional obligation of other players in high esteem.

so to answer your question..we are not divided anymore..so.. there will never be that kind of 'This is my backyard" do or die kind of mentality.

professional, proud and loyal yes.....but something has been lost and reflecting i'm not sure it's a bad thing. Just not as fun.

Yeah, but Ben Bass is a whipping boy for a group of posters I never thought included Chocolate Lab. CL's typically the more sensible/less attention-seeking type of disgruntled. Not one I expected to see dropping 'foam finger' and 'Ben Bass' references. I'm profoundly sad, now.

Whoa, whoa, I didn't know I was in any "group". I do admit I've seen Risen do it, but not in a while. Just having a little fun.

Since we're being serious, I don't think it's ever smart to spout off like McCoy did there. But I'm not sure we have the horses to do a lot about it.

Well it keeps happening over and over again year after year since Parcells left. I think players on other teams don't respect the mental and physical toughness of this franchise. We'll see how this year's defense handles it, lots of new faces. I already know the vets from 08-13 would have just bent over and taken it. There are more dawgs on this team now...so we'll see...

Yea that's what I mean. He can say whatever he wants without worry if that's the case.

Taking uncertainty and trying to undermine what little you have is a hallmark of self destructive behavior. If you participated in the failure then did you really fail. . .

I am not saying that is attributable to anyone in particular and certainly not CL before people get in an uproar.

It is behavior that you often see in kids where they are uncertain about something so they scuttle the project beforehand rather than face the anticipation. If you never really tried then you never really failed.

Fear of failure manifests in many ways.

I do think the Cowboys do not get a lot of respect from opposing teams. That respect factor has been missing since Coach Parcells left.

Well, McCoy knows that Dallas is going to struggle this season. This is a good time to pile on.

He was feeding the Eagle fans and the opportunity presented itself.

Mods, could you put "but he doesn't really own Dallas" in the thread title?

Ahh the passive aggressive routine where you do not address me directly. Such courage.

I stand by what I said. Lawrence walked of the field and was not 'carted off.'

That is an objective provable fact.

I guess accuracy and truth are not very important to you which does not surprise me as often as you tell us you are never wrong.

Hey I mean at least we're heading into the right direction, or at least it seems.

lol...Please take it down! That is Billboard stuff. I'm worried that if the players on defense read this, it might scare them!
