Yeah, you could easily see this coming months ago, especially when they went RB in the 3rd round.

He has had a terrific career.

It helped that teams didn't grind him to a pulp with extreme carries per year with just 2 years with over 300. He did have a high target rate as a receiver but that does not seem to grind RBs down like rushing attempts.

The Cowboys passed on him in 2009 because they already had Felix and Barber.

He was available at their 2nd round pick and was the only remaining player on their board with a 1st round grade.

It"s a great example of why taking BPA in the draft should be the goal.

That's not really true. His only down year since being a rookie was 2018 in terms of production per game played.

Apparently you don’t know how contracts work. The contracts usually include guaranteed money and the teams are allowed to cut players. In McCoys case he got a 5 year deal in 2015 with almost 40 million between guaranteed money and the signing bonus which doesn’t even include his yearly salary. There’s nothing in the contract obligating the team to keep him all 5 years which is part of the reason they get guaranteed money.

So what’s the problem? Did the team sign a contract saying they wouldn’t cut him? Please explain to me how they didn’t honor the contract.

No, it's not. High dollar RB's have always lost their value quickly around the age of 30.

Better than anyone currently on their roster. I really dont keep up with the Bills but if they are signing players like Beasly they can not be that good talent evaluation
