has anyone every seen Crayton leave his feet to get to a ball ?

or even lay out to make a catch ?

it seems to me if the ball is not right in the sweet zone theres not effort on his part to go get it

that may be more Crayton's reliance on his usually dependable hands more than an unwillingness to lay out or leave his feet.

I feel about Crayton the way a lot of people on this board feel about Romo. Some plays I think "wow, what a great catch, great route," etc. Other plays, I'm like "what the heck is Crayton thinking?"

I don't know what to make of him.

Lets resign Terry Glenn!

Yep because he often jumped for the ball for no reason. Several times it resulted in the pass bouncing off him and into the arms of a defender.

The receivers on this team are ordinary at best. Austin had a nice game but he needs to show some consistancy. They are stuck with Roy W and the albatross contract. If Hurd and Crayton were not here next year I would not mind at all.

I haven't seen a Cowboys receiver dive for a ball since Terry Glenn now that I think of it. Austin could have caught that one in the end zone, and Witten could have caught that one up the sidelines if they dove.

I know it's not an easy thing to do, but at some point receivers gotta make plays.

I don't know where people get the impression Crayton has reliable hands...he does not.

THANK YOU! I have never understood where and how he earned this reputation. Surely not in actual games. He may be great in practices and pre-season, but he isn't nearly reliable enough during the season to deserve the ype. C'mon. How many games can you think of off the top of your head that he turned by FAILING to catch a ball? His muffed punt yesterday was nearly one. The playoff game against the Giants. Chime in, people.

Major issue I tend to have with Crayton is how he carries the ball like a loaf of bread. I would like to see him secure the ball better than he does.

Gee I dunno, one?

He's got great hands. He almost never drops a ball if he gets his hands anywhere near it. Every coach thats been here since we got him has basically said the same thing.

He drops so few passes, its actually a surprise when he does it. I can probably count on one hand how many passes he's dropped in his career.

The guy can't (or won't) catch a punt lately either. It was bad enough when he fair caught the punt on the 20 yard line with nobody within 15 yds of him in the 4th quarter, but the 2 or 3 punts after the fumble, he flat out didn't even try to catch it. He needs to start laying it on the line for this team.
