What have we seen the last few weeks:

Giants take disciplined approach and suspend Plaxico Burress one game.

Chiefs will make Larry Johnson inactive this Sunday if the NFL does not suspend him.

Browns suspend Kellen Winslow for one game.

Cowboys back Pacman, don't even think of suspending him and shifting the decison to Goodell. Plus, add that we take him back open arms.

Now I despise Pacman but Jerry should have suspended him 1 game just to show that the Cowboys were serious about a " last chance".

I did lose respect for Jerry on this one.

The reason Jerry didn't suspend Pacman himself had to do with the fact that the Cowboys now don't have to give up a draft pick this coming draft but instead gain a draft pick by the NFL suspending Pacman. That is a swing of two draft picks. If it weren't for that I feel like Jerry would have done the suspending himself.

Boo Hoo!

Have you ever thoght that maybe you do not get it?

Winslow, was suspended for a very dumb reason, it is not his fault that he got the staph infection that has been running rampant in the Browns organization.

Johnson, deserved hiss suspension.

Adam did not, that is why he was not suspended by the team, Goodell did it, so lets move on to the Tampa Bucs.

Yeah I get that part, but Jerry looked bad in publicly defending him and now look what happened. We got schooled by the Rams and don't you think Garcia will just eat us alive?? Pacman let the team down. I don't care if he was playing the best. I say bye bye.

Then they could have made him inactive or active and not play to make a point.

Pacman's crime was bringing bad publicity to the NFL. Let's see the NFL follow through and punish all that are guilty of that in the future.

Goodell will continue to act like a dictator as long as he can get away with it. I hope some player (preferably Pacman) sues the NFL and wins a large settlement. Then Goodell and all the goody-to-shoes(sp?) will be gone.

Larry Johnson, Plexico, and Kellen Winslow would gladly leave their teams for a bag of magic beans, not even mentioning a contract Jerry would give them if he wanted them.

Even though some won't admit it, we would prolly be 2-5 without the Pac. We would have lost to Cincy(a game where he made some key plays), and the Cleveland offense would have made many more plays(Pacman, aside from that PI call, made some key plays as well). And for that matter, AZ would have schooled us.

Sorry guys, but that is the truth.

So the Cowboys should excuse his behavior because of that, whether or not they knew the league would suspend him. I'm pretty sure Plax is the Giants best WR. LJ is the Chiefs best RB. Winslow, well he's just Winslow. I respect those teams that are willing to risk a loss to keep intact a code of disipline and a code of conduct. The Cowboys could use more of that now, maybe not so much for off the field stuff, except Pacman but more disipline on the field.

Fact is the second we got the 5 back from the Titans we traded the six for Williams.

Short-sighted comes to mind sometimes when I read emotional comments dressed up as fact.

We also got a 7th rounder in return with the RW11 deal. In essence, we merely swapped our 6th(that we don't have to fork over to the Titans) for the Lions' 7th.

I'll bet you forgot about that part!;)

No, but the point was about Pacman and not Williams, per se. It was why Jerry made the decision not to punish Pac. Because we got our draft pick back the second Goodell suspended him.

OP is right, it does feel like Jerry doesn't get it. No matter how much I want to believe theres recovering from pacman, in the back of my mind it feels like this whole team is a mess:

He saw a good team which was built, a rare gem QB found amongst rubble. A botched fieldgoal prevented playoff glory. He knew the offense was special so he decided to fill the team up with Friends from the past
Campo as a position coach, Houck as a position coach, Garrett as a coordinator.

The defense needed fixing so he wanted a defensive mind, but not someone who would give him trouble. He needed a coach which he could push around, someone who would just be happy to get the opportunity to coach for a team he has always admired. A coach who would take all the blame when things go bad, and stick loyal to the owner no matter what. Who better than Mr. Fix it to fix the mess of a defense. Enter Wade Phillips.

He then made all the decisions. He took players who are risky, who other teams threw out but still had talent. He could rehab them. Players like Tanks and Pacmans. They brought the media attention along with their talent. And to Jerry there is no such thing as bad publicity, as long as they are able to produce Ws, nothing mattered.

He brought home his sons. He acquired players who he always wanted, a fantasy type team. Felix Jones (University of Arkansas) came home. Leonard Davis (University of Texas at Austin) came back to Texas. Roy Williams (University of Texas) came back to Texas.

Jerry wants to prove those who said he couldn't do it alone wrong. He wants to prove to those like Jimmys and Parcells that he could do it his way. So this is where we are now, a team which was hanging by a thread. A ship that has sprung leaks everywhere. No time to think, everyones jumping off.

Will Mr. Fix it be able to stop the leaks? Or will Friends lose their jobs...Will sons be stuck in mediocrity? Time will tell.

Yeah.....Those Giants...

Buress was fined close to 50 times during his stay with the Giants.....and now the Giants front office and head coach is praised that they finally suspended Burress?

Larry Johnson refused to come off the field.....

I fail to see how Pacman did anything wrong concerning the team.....he always practiced hard...and wasnt a disruption in the locker room.

Pacman violated the stipulations from the NFL.......he drank alcohol.......I fail to see how Pacamn broke any team rules......he did tho...lose Jerry Jones trust now....
