Let this sink in Jerry, 9 NFL HC positions were open and Jason Garrett wasn't interviewed once!

People say Jerry isn't the problem? Jerry waisted HOF players talents here under lame head coaching experiments like Campo, Gaily, and worst of all Garett.

10 years of the last 26 was waisted on Garett and he couldn't get one damn interview? Not even from the NY Giants of whom he played for and coached for?!?!?

Yes, Jerry is why we'll never reach a SB again in his lifetime.

Seems to be more because of his job with the Giants.

If I recall, he had an interview last year and the year before.

Also seems like teams generally want a fresh face. Prior HC experience almost seems like a bad thing on your resume. Even a young, SB winning coach like Doug Pederson is having a tough time getting a job.

Maybe he got calls, and turned them down, and it wasn't made public.
He wants to take time off. Maybe wait until Kellen Moore gets a HC position, then become his OC. :lmao:

Garret is a shoo-in for any open Jr. High p.e. teacher slots in the country.

And that, in a nutshell, is why teams change coaches every two years.

Everyone wants the next young 'genius' and more often than not, they arent ready....

Or they have some success early on due to weak schedules and no film on what they are doing...only to fizzle out before long anyway.

I really don't understand why it's more popular to have your locker room commanded by some dorky looking dude than a man like Jim Caldwell or Marvin Lewis.

When Jerry does pass, unfortunately we’ll have Jerry Jr. to keep screwing up this team for another 10-20 yrs.

Clearly, teams thought they’d never have a chance of Garrett coaching there, so they didn’t even ask.

Jerry is a senile fool. Struck gold with Jimmy, messed that up, and he has been a monumental failure ever since. It’s quite sad, actually.

Waiting for Garrett’s mother @Idgit or father @MikeB80 to chime in

come to think of it, I haven’t seen Mike around recently. I miss him telling us how great a HC Garrett actually was

Somebody cue Jerry's quote that Garrett would have 5 HC offers if Jerry fired
    him.

Also note Garrett hasn't been hired as an OC or even position coach by any other NFL team.

I don't even think he got any interviews for a college job, did he?

This is most likely true. But the OP has a valid point. Who would look at Jason's coaching over the years with the Cowboys and consider him for head coach? That said, Chip Kelly and Adam Gase both got another shot. So yeah, that embarrassment in NY probably sealed his fate.

What's done is done. Everyone saw Garrett's sinking ship a mile away when he promoted him to HC except for Jerry. He wanted a football coach with an Ivy League degree, he got it! Just not a good one.

Let’s not forget our great GM said this in 2019

Appearing on 105.3 The Fan, Jones claimed that, if Garrett currently were available, he wouldn’t be available for long.

“If Jason Garrett had been out on the market two weeks ago, he would’ve had five offers for head coaching,” Jones said. “I know that.”

Guess what? Kellen Moore isn't getting much interest either. He's not even getting interest from colleges this year. Says something about the Jones FO.
