Also seems like teams generally want a fresh face. Prior HC experience almost seems like a bad thing on your resume. Even a young, SB winning coach like Doug Pederson is having a tough time getting a job.

With a young guy you have hope for greatness. With a failed HC from another team, you're buying into more failure.

It was beyond obvious since at least 2010 that Garret was over his head as a HC. But Jerry could not swallow that crow for a long time. Garret will lucky to land a QB coaching position in college.
