ironically, they'll probably end up being decent this year because everyone thinks they will suck. This is the first year in a decade no one in DC is talking Super Bowl.
as much as I enjoy them, their owner, and their fans baste in misery, I can't really fault them for the trade that will have set them back a decade....RGIII. In today's NFL, you HAVE to have a top flight QB to be a factor and of course the draft is a crapshoot. Going all in on RGIII (and them desperately needing a QB) only had two possible outcomes.....genius or epic disaster.....looking a lot like the latter right now.
That said, I'm not sure Cousins doesn't actually have something and secondly, if he does will he ever develop in DC?

I don't count on anything and I hope the team is not looking past anyone. I'm the NFL anything can happen. Though, it does look dire for Washington.

I seem to remember recently people rejoicing at the injury to the Packer's receiver Jordy nelson, around these here parts. At the time I commented that might be a bit inappropriate because what goes around, comes around.

Now I'm not going to tell you I think that led to the Scandrick injury. But life seems to have a way of humbling.

I'll wait until I see the obituary for the Skins season after the real shooting starts.

Yep, we shouldnt forget that they were almost as bad last year... When they ended the Eagles playoff hopes, and almost ended Romo.

No matter how terrible the Commanders are, they almost always play tough against Dallas. There is no question about that. I have heard plenty of their fans say that as long as they beat Dallas twice a year, that can be their only two wins, lol. The fan base and owner is obsessed with Dallas, and that passes down to their players. Dallas is their super bowl.

That will never change and playing them will never be easy for Dallas.

But none of that changes just how dysfunctional and crappy a franchise that is. Three first round picks and a second for Griffin. :lmao:

How franchise crushing is that? Shanahan was the only reason the guy even did well in his rookie season. I said it then that Shanny was the coach of the year for giving Robert simple reads where it was either the one WR was open or he took off running. That and Shanny's patented run game was the only reason Bob wasn't embarrassed out of the league even sooner than he has been.

Then, to make it even more funny for the rest of the league... the Commanders got rid of the one person that was worth a crap and fired Shanahan and kept Griffin.

I mean, it is like a story that was written by a Commander hating guy. It could not have gone worse for them and it isn't getting better anytime soon. They'll win here or there but just wow. What horrific decisions that franchise has made.

Its a dayum shame to see our once great rival fall to the depths they have fallen. They are truly WASHINGTON D.C.'s team

Well said. The team's dysfunction is a fair reflection on what happens in the city.

I don't know if mourn is the right word.

How about we take a moment to celebrate the unfortunate circumstances that that putrid organization is going through.

How about bringing in rg3 after he exits Washington? Let him ride the bench until romo is done...great OL..probably have a RB by then...D getting better...he's better than anything else we have

Jerry likes him...back to Texas...stick it to the skins...

I've seen crazier things happen lol

Cousins makes them a better team offensively. He will struggle at times like most inexperienced QBs but he will still elevate that group which has pretty good skill position players. If the Skins are smart they'll make the tough PR move to simply move on from Griffin.

Trevor Matich, a Commanders studio analyst when not working at ESPN, said the Commanders were "the Kardashians of the NFL" and the team was "an endless dirge of misery." He added: "If you dropped in from Mars, you'd think Colt McCoy was the backup, Kirk Cousins was the starter, and RG3 was the third-stringer."

Many people around the internet told Skins fans that the league would catch up to RG3 after 2012 but they didn't want to believe it.

I disagree with Riddick.

They have clearly put him in a position that is not suited for his skil set.

I live in Austin now, but I've also lived in Arlington VA, Hudson Valley NY, and San Jose CA. Redkins fans are huge **** talkers. Believe it or not, they aren't the worst. That title goes to Bills fans. They are the biggest douches. Believe it or not, my best convos came from Giants fans when I lived there. They seemed to know our history as well as our fans do, and had a weird respect for our team. 49ers and their fan base deserve no respect. Anyways, that's my two cents.
