ironically, they'll probably end up being decent this year because everyone thinks they will suck. This is the first year in a decade no one in DC is talking Super Bowl.
as much as I enjoy them, their owner, and their fans baste in misery, I can't really fault them for the trade that will have set them back a decade....RGIII. In today's NFL, you HAVE to have a top flight QB to be a factor and of course the draft is a crapshoot. Going all in on RGIII (and them desperately needing a QB) only had two possible outcomes.....genius or epic disaster.....looking a lot like the latter right now.
That said, I'm not sure Cousins doesn't actually have something and secondly, if he does will he ever develop in DC?

That ONE good year he had, my sister (who is a Cowboys fan) said "we need a black QB like the Commanders". She's stupid so I expect her to say stuff like that. How you like your black QB now?:lmao2: If I was a foolish as she is I would bring it up every chance I get ... but I don't.

I'm starting to see Gruden show how immature he is. With all the problems he's facing (Snyder, Griffin, Galette, the o-line, job security, media and fan backlash) he creates more controversy crying that he's really hurt someone called him a fatazz. Not only does he sound like at 14 year old whiny girl but I'm hoping the media start every question now with "so fatso..." until he breaks down. If the story is also true that he left RG3 in to get beat up/injured the guy has maturity problems.

In all truth, I think Dan Snyder has been the downfall of that organization. We could have a field day here naming all of the quaterback 'saviors' they've gone through and coaching answers they've had fall waay short, but the one constant through all of it has been Snyder. Something is off under him. If I were a Washington fan, I'd boycott his product until something changed.

The fans are already boycotting the product. They have gone from 91+ K stadium with a 10 year season ticket waiting list to 70 K (seats tarped over), going week to week to sell out. Absolutely amazing.

R.I.P Deadskins. You aren't even worth the trouble hating anymore. Maybe one day you'll be an NFL team again but probably not in my lifetime. In the meantime I'll hate on the Eagles. They've replaced you on my most hated team list.

History never gets replaced on my list.

How about bringing in rg3 after he exits Washington? Let him ride the bench until romo is done...great OL..probably have a RB by then...D getting better...he's better than anything else we have

Jerry likes him...back to Texas...stick it to the skins...

I've seen crazier things happen lol

With all due respect ... you've done lost your mind.

Black, white, green, whatever- the simple fact is, RG3 (as with most black QBs) is (was?) most proficient at using superior athleticism at the position to create & execute successful plays. Why are all of these NFL teams giving up so much to have the next superior athlete QB, when they all seem to want to convert them to pocket passers- sooner than later? I understand the need to get a QB to become comfortable as a pocket passer, for longterm success... but don't they see that too, before they spend the high cost to acquire one to begin with? It's a runaway trend that seems like just setting yourself up for failure, in my opinion. It takes a very unique system to succeed on QB athleticism, and even then it seems short-lived once it goes, leaving a contraversy and coaching disaster.

Yep. I'll see their athleticism and hit them with the jedi pocket awareness, football intelligence, read defenses, can make every throw, call plays at the line and get his team in the right play.

The skill set is there, the problem I have with RG3 is his attitude. Not being able to take responsibility after a loss is troubling. Besides that, the kid can throw I'm just not sure he belongs on our team with that attitude.

... and another thing, the only reason he had that good year was because of Shanahan.

Kyle Shanahan and his coach father tailored an offense to maximize RG3's talent. Call him what you guys want be RG3 does have talent to be selected that highly.

What the Skins made a mess of things is when they canned Shanahan and his son. I believe he was the best thing that could have ever happened to the Skins and coulda and woulda turned things around.

Skins fans are a fickle bunch. Once they have a good thing going and things are going right, heads roll and the entire staff has to be replaced. You can't have success in this league if you keep canning coaches every 3 years and expect different results. Thats the problem with Snyder and the Skins.
