He wouldn't have any supporters on this board and most likely would have been fired by now.

The only thing keeping him afloat with the Jones family and some of the fans here is his attachment to the 90s teams and the weird fetish dream some have of a former player leading us to a super bowl. Period.

Yes, if only the morons would stop waxing nostalgic, we would never be in this mess.

Let's be real...the defense gave up it's fourth 400 yard passing game on the season....and you guys are blaming the head coach.

You guy s are pathetic.

Of course its the head coaches fault. Because of Garrett Ryan had to be fired. Garrett's been an OC and coach for almost a decade. Yet he still can't coach a good offense. Monty is been here half a season with a new scheme and a devastated Dline. But has gotten a lot more out of this make shift D. Kiffen isn't the problem. Its Garrett.

Last year it was the defense's fault too. So they fired Ryan and New Orleans and Payton picked him up. That should tell you something, dude.

Should add no matter how I feel about Garrett the head coach, I'm convinced we're not winning squat until we get rid of his god awful offensive system. We have days like this far too often for a supposed talented offense.

Well they gave it up because it's led by a guy Garrett lobbied to get after releasing another guy, so it's guilt by association.

The ironic thing is the turnover differential has been much better, but Garrett's offense can't capitalize, so once again, it's his fault.

Which, I think, can be attributed to him not knowing an awful lot about the entire game of football. He was a Princeton QB, not exactly a football school. In any event, if you're going to argue Jason Garrett is a good head coach, you're probably sporting about an 70-80 football IQ.

It is father. dude was garbage in college. garbage in the cfl. yet some how stumbled in to America's team. How?

Jim "father of losers" Garrett.

His brother did a GREAT job with Bennett at Dallas...I mean look how good he has done for the Giants and Chicago...oh, wait...um...we have a "system" now though right? ;)

Jason Garrett followed his father wherever he went. When he went to Columbia, Jason went with him. When his father was fired, then he went to Princeton. When his father was in Dallas, Jason came from the CFL to the already-then SB champions.. Again, his father.... His other two brother same here, one getting thrown to the curb after he ruined the passing game even more as PG coordinator....

Last time I checked the HC is responsible for the performance of the team

What is pathetic is all of the excuses being made because he can't get it done

It`s not exactly about this game, it`s about his tenure here, a .500 HC, it is what it is.

You're too hard on him...After all he didn't take the ATL job because you couldn't win there, or BAL...and now look at what...um...wait...(sorry I couldn't resist again). I still love how he turned those down with those remarks.

Heaven forbid we blame the offensive minded coach after failing to be effective on offense most of the game against the poor Lions defense. After failing to show up on offense against the Skins and Eagles. And sure ill give him a pass for not seeing a problem handing the Lions the ball back and putting it in the defenses hands after witnessing them get owned by Calvin.

It was ugly. But the offense put up 30 points. Three. Zero.

Garret took over a bad team. Horrendous offensive line. And an offense not exactly teaming with play makers.

This team has had a ton of turnover. Is getting younger. And needs time.

Love the way the team is being built under Jason.

And anyone who thought he mismanged the end of the game...point out exactly where and what.

The way I see it is that Garret and the Cowboys ran off 71% of the clock on the final series and added 3 points while they were at it.

People call Jerry a bad GM. You guys are worse. From the Clabo and Free blabber to wanting to change coaches every 2 years....this team would be the St. Louis Rams with some of you at the helm.

I wish you all would just be quiet. Cowboys are number 1 at least in one thing. Worst fanbase.

There is a lot of myth around Jason, like his ties to Norv... His first year here was Norv Turner's last. Most of his experience with the Air Coryell offense was with the likes of an out-of-touch and aged Zampese and Bruce Coslett. It was an era of gradual dysfunction he experienced.

One of the staples of Garrett's tenure here is inefficiency on first down in terms of yardage, forcing Dallas in trying to recoup big yardage on 3rd downs. Romo has been masking this with his ability to by time, but one can only do so much and also makes him try and do too much over time, which is why we see famine or feast.

A bad team that won a playoff game 8 months earlier. Hmm...

Another thing that has contributed to the myth is JG being sought after by other NFL teams. But in reality, that was the trend of the NFL at that time. McDaniel, Schwartz, and other young coaches... Haley was sought after during this era. Garrett has lasted only cause his ties...
