The Cowboys Offense will be efficient. But the playoffs are about defense, this is the day that the defense will be the hero or the goat. If goat then we will know where the draft for the Cowboys will be going.

I think we already know where the problems lie. If the offense puts up 40 all the defense has to do is make a few stops.

I agree but 40 is a high number against the Lions Defense. We need the Defense to show up today.

For the Cowboys defense to have success the offense has to be efficient running the ball keeping the D off the field. Last year vs the Lions with Murray out the Cowboys had no running game resulting in 25 minutes of possession time with only 56 plays compared to 78 for Detroit. The Cowboys can't allow Megatron and company to have that many opportunities or he'll have his way again against our secondary. It was not being able to control the ball that came back to bite the Cowboys in last years game late in the 4th quarter. The Cowboys had the game won with only 1:24 left but 3 quick downs due to back to back losses on running plays gave Detroit just enough time to pull the game out.

The Cowboys strength on offense is Detroit's strength on defense so something has to give. The one thing that concerns me is Murray has looked tired the last few games really wish we would have taken him out of last weeks game much sooner. It's a must he has a good game today where Romo doesn't have to shoulder the load. The last playoff game the Cowboys won and the only playoff victory on Romo's record was due to controlling the ball for almost 40 minutes behind a great rushing performance by Felix Jones vs Philly.

I agree. It would be great if we can get any type of pass rush today.

The lack of of pass rush is showing in the first Quarter. Remember, playoffs are about defense.

A select few of us said they would ROLL up points if Stafford had time. I was shouted DOWN in here and told their Oline is too beat up and it wouldn't be a problem....LOL

TIRED? He might be tired but more than anything he's hurt. He landed right on that broken hand in the first qtr. and has barely gotten the ball since....unless we get a turnover soon or a strip/fumble to change momentum we are SCREWED.

Ok, Cowboys defense needs to fine a way to pressure Stadford or this will be bad!

As poor as our D is (they are really getting exposed today) w/ the ending departure of Marineli is Matt Eberflus really the answer? Do you guys think Mike Smith would come in here and be D coordinator? He ran that Ravens D that won a SB. I know he would need to get some better players, but in all respect to Rod, is his heart really with this organization?...

We know our defense isn't great, but if we don't commit a moronic penalty on st, and if our ol could block, we would be in much better shape.

The D is folding. Hopefully they get rid of the skirt they are wearing.

Marinelli is a beast. Our best DLineman is Tyrone Crawford and he probably would be the 3rd or most likely the 4th best DT on the Lions
