The hate for jones as a GM goes like this....for 10 years he put our team in such a disarray, it took parcells 4 years just to get us out of it! and we are still not there! what did jones do? he only overpaid for one of the biggest busts in recent history...he overpaid for a one year wonder in gurode...he overpaid for brad johnson...who is finished...all jerry does is overpay...he overpaid for rivera,,he was done...he overpaid for henry in my opinion. He hasnt done much but be injured. He overpaid for Roy Williams and now we couldnt get rid of him if we tried! He brought in a player that ran out Parcells! The question is what has he done that has been smart in the last 10 years....and dont get me started on the drafts the last 10 years before parcells got here. Dont get me started on the Galloway trade! Come on man I cant even believe you just made that statement bleustar!?????????????? Do you know anything about football?

So this is what I will say about Jerry. The two things he does consistently.

He latches onto a player, or a theory about a player and nothing gets in his way to stop him from getting him. I.E. Quincy Carter, Tony Dixon. Carver, Ekuban....should I stop now?

He also overpays for mediocre players. Those are the two things he does consistently. If that wins a championship then so be it! LOL....it never will. Bleu Star you need to take out what Bill has done the past 4 years and then look at our team. Dont look at what BP did in talent acquistions and mix it in with the stupid mistakes Jerry has made and say that Jerry is a God.....what a joke...I mean look at all the mistakes Jerry made the past 4 years....Wiley, Price, Anthony Thomas, TO...the list goes on. The thing about it is this. Almost everything that Jerry does individually from a GM standpoint with no help he screws up. You need to face that. He wants to know what to do but he just doesnt and that's the truth. I wish it wasnt so but it is. The only thing he has done right in the past 4 years is hire Parcells and semi-get out of the way.

Fresh start for Jerruh, lets see how he does gathering his own talent, not playing with Bill's. Nobody will know for years on how he does because the core of the talent on this team including the schemes was put together by Parcells.

spoken like someone who knows what he is talking about...seriously to the other guys...i really want to discuss this...have been a fan for 30 years too...i love the team...i dont like what jerry has done...am I hopeful he learned a few things from parcells...Yes...will it happen...i dont know...let's go ahead and look at jerry's history...you guys that want to call me a troll are either under 16 years old and dont know what he has done, have only been a fan for a few years...or just truthfully know he hasnt done a good job, are too much of a homer and cant see it...or just dont care...

I mean Jerry made like 50 mistakes after Jimmy Johnson, there are so many I cant name them all but here are the highlights. Can anyone really defend them with a sane mind?

Trades two draft picks for Joey Galloway. One of them turns out to be the MVP of the league. Since Jerry didnt anticipate getting a true replacement for Troy, Galloway becomes of no value!

Quincy Carter - not only does jerry want this guy, he reaches for him in the 2nd round! This guy was terrible....It took Big Bill to get anything out of him...the fact that we reached the playoffs with him and Hambrick tells the whole story about how good BP was.....

Jerry reaches for Tony Dixon in that same draft...I think we could have gotten Kendrell Bell instead of Quincy and a few other big names instead of dixon...by the way...dixon...out of the league along with Quincy...he was terrible...

Jerry chooses Ekuban and Carver in the 1st round...both of them were terrible....enough said on that...

I think when Bill got here we only had like two 1st round picks on our team that were still in the league from the previous 10 years...what does that tell you?

all washed up players....

and now what has he done this year?

Gave 18 mill up front to a player that is overrated....the most ever by the way
Gave 10 mill to a one year wonder that we dont know about...lazy in the past
Gave a washed up QB 3.5 up front...
Says we have a FS on the team to go to? come on man just go and get one...why wont they do it? Roy cant cover...also what about jerry giving roy 11 mill last year and he went lazier on us? bradie james...used to be my boy...all that money...both of them cant cover...too big to cover...whatever...

jerry did go smart on one deal...columbo...thats it..the old jerry would have gave him 5 years 20 million....

OK, so when we win it´s not Jerry, and when we lose it´s all Jerry.

no he just knows how to breakout what is what...here is how it will go...if we win because of:
Romo, Witten, Newman, Julius, most of the defense, then it will be parcells who was the reason...his players...

if we cant win because we wasted too much money on gurode, davis, rivera...players like that...then it will be because of jerry....if you are going to break the bank, break it on solid probowlers...thats my opinion...not average players

I get things done in my own personal life and am able to see things from a real perspective because even though I am a fan I dont like to make things look better than they are...You cant fix them unless you see what is really going on....hey we were a 9-7 team last year that lost in the 1st round...what did we do this offseason? We picked up Davis and he will help but right now thats all we did...everyone is so pumped up but where is the improvement coming from? a year of practice for Tony...thats good but it could be bad without parcells.. Tony could stay off the reservation without BP, we dont know. He is more apt to truthfully take too many chances. So that could happen. Al Singleton will be gone so we lose some depth. Same with Coleman who had 4 sacks last year. Now the young guys should get better so that will help but it all may just offset itself if we have some injuries at key positions. We may be sitting here next year right where we are at right now at 9-7.

To be honest I would have rather had Steinbach or Dielman then Davis. BUT it did not happen. I think Davis can be very good for us- being away from the black pit of arizona has worked before. Columbo will get better- when you work as hard as he did to come back from a real bad injury (and a misdiagnosis, and being abandoned by the team that drafted) you do not get fat and happy. And with Davis- he had a big rookie contract that he got every last cent out of- so this big contract is not really that huge for him.
Gurode finally has his head on straight- and hard work was never a problem for him. The Hotel is fully recovered- he should be fine. Kosier will get better with more familiarity with the players around. The line SHOULD get better.
Romo needs more discipline- but that last play in the Seattle game should be plenty of impetus to improve. Wade will be working with schemes on our D- and they should be better. Watkins is of course a question- but realistically that is really one of the few places that have question marks. QB, RB, TE, O line, WR- TO and Terry Glenn should still shine for at least one more year.
D Line- we need more from them, but the TALENT is there. There really is not a real HOLE on the team- the closest thing to it is FS.
