I know it takes two to tango in a trade and it is probably tough getting teams to give up their future first round picks, but I hope we could parlay this extra first to several extra first day picks for the future.

For Example, lets say Dallas' first two picks next year are 7 and 24. Use the 7th pick on a true difference maker and then if no one strikes you as a home run at 24 then try to move back into the early second and pick up an future first again. Now again, that might be harder to find a team willing to do this. Although, it creates another extra first day pick in the early second while giving you another future first. Rinse and repeat the next year....and so on.

Maybe it is a crazy thought, but most years you don't lose much from late first round picks to early seconds. Just a crazy thought as I begin dreaming of having two firsts next year.

not a bad strategy...

but eventually, you just get too much fever and want to see names and faces with picks instead of just future nubers.

I totally agree with this if it becomes available. And yes New England seems to really like doing it.

When your picking at the end of each round, and you have a solid team, you can do this. So if we choose to do this, then i wouldnt mind one bit, as it means that we have a good team, that just needs that one player, to make a differnce.
