It's great to have all this Homerism but dang we take it to another level hahahaha. Lets not be like every other board and keep it real for once.

I believe both Teams are very well balanced.

We talk about Demarcus Ware being a beast, but come on guys he's going up against Pro bowl Walter Jones...Do honestly think this will be a walk in the park? if so then you're in for a big surprise. Anything Ware gets will be very hard fought trust me.

And another thing. It's really easy to say ok just do single coverage and stack the line to stop the run....Yea that's easier said than done. We're talking about a quick 3 step fast moving offense with a very good QB that will find his recievers.

Sure Seattle might not give u that huge 50+ yard play but they are very good at moving the chains.

And why do people think it's easy to stop the run?

We havent stoped anyone....Sure we stop them from breaking 100+ yards a game but that doesnt tell the full story. RBs are averaging very good NUmbers on us and that's just the truth.

On the upside.....I do agree our secondary is playing good and we have very good chance to disrupt their passing game.

Another thing is our Offense. I'm very happy with Bledsoes play and now with this young kid MARION BARBER showing JUlius Like hability is a great PLus.

I believe we need to give Tucker more help than The rookie....Lets think about it, we have a strong Winstrom charging full speed at Tucker....I truely believe Pettitie can handle his own but Tucker? NO he needs help, especially since he's on Bledsoes blind side.

Lets keep the bias comments out anmd keep it real...Lets talk FOOTBALL.

great point about Ware! I believe the preseason sack, FF, and FR came when a TE or OG tried to block him, neither of which were named Hutchinson or Jones. Seattle will be well aware of Ware this time and I don't think they'll need to help Jones handle him. This might create a problem because we were getting used to him getting doubled or at least helped by a RB (which curtails that RB from getting the ball or delays his pass route).
That said, I do think that if we jam the inside running lanes for Alexander, we greatly limit what they're offense is capable of. Whatever Washington did to them worked great. I watched that game and the entire Seattle O was stymied. I don't think we have the defensive czar or scheme that wash does but we sure have better players.

Nope, Ware smoked Hutchinson and very narrowly missed some sacks when Jones was on him. I'll be very surprised if Seattle doesn't give him some help, but we'll all find out tomorrow.

.

I don't know that they are well balanced. Their WR's are a mess. Darrell Jackson, their number 1 WR is out, Bobby Engram is out and that leaves them with Joe Jurevicous.

I say, contain Alexander (easier said than done, I know) both from a running standpoint and, out of the backfield and we should be OK.

Good call Sarge...tomorrow's game rests on the entire defense but especially on Roy. Roy will be in the box tomorrow and expected to stop Alexander both running and receiving, imo. If Roy makes good reads and flies in to make big plays on Alexander, including when he comes out of the backfield, then I don't think our defense will have too much trouble with the rest of their offense.

If the Dallas team that beat Philly shows up we win 35 -10
If the team that played the Giants shows up we loose, so hopefully we either get the Team that played Philly or something in between....

Be interesting to see Holmgren and Parcells after facing each other in Pre season.

There are 3 games that I think will be very hard fought and could go either way this week.

Dallas @ Seattle
San Diego @ Philly
Pittsburgh @ Cincy

There is now 10 weeks of film on the Seahawks and Cowboys. I think this will be the toughest game of the week. Alexander may have scored predominantly against weaker defenses but he has been scoring pretty consistently for years and is on pace to score a mind blowing 32 rushing TDs this season, 1900 yards rushing, at over 115 yards per game. Even vs. better defenses this season he has averaged around 5 yards per. The Cowboys are giving up a little over 4 yards a carry and about 95 yards per game, and only 2 rushing TDs in 6 games, teams are averaging only 22 carries per game vs. Dallas which is second lowest in the NFL.

That match-up alone is worth the price of admission.

Evenin' Wayno - yep - it's Roys' turn to shine tomorrow I agree. Our job is very similar to the Eagles job tomorrow.

We need to contain Alexander and they need to contain Tomlinson, both from a running standpoint and out of the backfield .

We have no Gates to worry about though.

I actually think we match up well against Seattle.

I repeat we are very well balanced.

WE can easily say our WR core is way better than theirs..And they can easily say their running game and O line is way better than ours.

And for the people that say the Commanders suck is just off pure hate for the franchise.

I do believe they sucked monkey butt for 56 minutes against us, but from their on out they have played very well and I'll be the first to admit it.

I agree to a certain extent, though I don't know how to square our opposition's yards per carry with their low rushing totals and our defense's ability to keep opposing offenses off the field. Some of it has to do with our offense eating clock, but the Dallas D prevents teams from scoring with the opportunities that they do get and has proven to be very good at getting offenses off the field on third down. It's easy to rationalize the success of the Dallas defense by saying they've only faced one-dimensional offenses to this point, but I don't think that's quite true about the Gints. They present a very balanced attack. True, very differently than Seattle, they depend upon big plays to score, but they still run the ball very well and the Manning/Shocky/Burress/etc. is a lethal combination through the air. It's not like NY got way behind and stopped running the ball, either, and I'm positive that they didn't change their gameplan and decide to stop trying to make big plays. I guess I don't exactly buy the idea that Dallas can't cover the whole field, since the limited a big-play offense to two big plays and 13 points. And while it's true that Seattle leads the league in offense and runs the ball much better than any team we've faced so far, I have no reason to believe that Parcells, Zimmer and the players themselves haven't noticed. In the past two games we've played a high-flying airial team and a team that runs well and uses this ability to make big plays on play action. We pretty much stoned them both. Our coaches know what they're doing. Our players are talented. I think it's realistic to believe that tomorrow we'll see a well-executed defensive plan.

I'll take 13 points on the scoreboard (underneath "Seahawks") and a pile of money on the Cowboys, please.

Yeah, if we can keep the Hwks to 13 we should win , but if we committ all those turn overs the Hawks just might take more advantage.

Keeping a team to a certain score is irrelevant IMO.

If we play better than them and execute we will win, if not then we lose it's as simple as that.

I think overall giveaway/takeaway numbers between the Cowboys/Seahawks vs opponents this year are about even.

alexander has a total of 7 receptions in 6 games. they dont pass to him out of the backfield much at all.

their 2 best wr's out. i think our defense will really press them, i think they are going to struggle moving the chains because i dont think you need to worry as much about them beating you deep so we can play up on their wr to take away the short passing game on first down, that is a big key to their success and opens up the running game for alexander.

i have to agree that we shouldn't fear their WRs getting deep - more of a problem is the quick slants that go for 30 yards mostly after the catch. i think we'll do quite a bit of blitzing this game. i truly believe with Burnett coming back, Dat back in a few series, and all the rookies playing without thinking so much - i say we can hold them to 17.
the problem will be moving the ball against them, but lets remember Price will be in and i think we'll run some quick slants ourselves and do well, plus i'm still waiting to see Tyson bust a big play. Bledsoe is a veteran with a lot of experience, and he has an excellent TE to play catch with. i look for Witten to get about 7 or 8 catches and have a big game. the deciding factor will probably be FG success, field position battle, and red zone success. if we miss two FGs we may well lose, and if we have to settle for FGs twice from inside the 20 we may well lose.
this will be a tough game. i still see us winning, but 23-20 is probably close and it could go either way. we must limit our penalties and hopefully not turn the ball over. whichever team does that best will probably win...

A Cowboys fan said it not me, however that is funny.

you guys were atrocious on offense until the last five minutes of our game. Brunnel has been drinking whatever Bledsoe has to stay young. He's looked pretty good when he gets too much time. Still throws precision passes.
Defense is still good enough to win also.
Although I think we can triple man cover Moss all day and win next time we play. He's the only guy that worries me. I see Portis and Tatum Bell run and I have to think that the Denver OL must be as good as advertised or RB friendly or something.
I still have to hope that your front office keeps squandering cap space and draft picks or else you might become dangerous. Also, that your D coordinator gets a head coaching offer elsewhere. He's good.
