Last year we let a scrub Giants team advance to playoffs and win OUR SB.
This year we let the Eagles advance... the Cards will take it from there.

The Dallas Cowboys organization is giving it away. The windows of opportunity are changing hands because of our shortcomings.

That's exactly what has been happening, although it's hard to use the word "class" while watching the Cowboys fart away opportunities year after year. As much as the Cowboys supposedly lack heart, the pieces are in place for something special. Will it ever come to pass?

I don't agree anymore. I've told a couple of people here we had the chance to be a dominant team. I was wrong. We have too many problems including talent.

We have too much dissension. I've argued against a great divide but there may be just too much 'lack of authority' and too much rebellion. You're going to have a certain amount in any group where there is a chain of command including parenting as well as corporations or the Army. But there may be too much here and if so then they need to turn the stove off. I'll include going outside the chain of command as well. Jerry???????..........

We don't play good football with the basics. We don't tackle well in general esp in the secondary and perhaps some of the LBs. We don't block well enough either. We can run and catch fairly well. We do not protect the football. We do not play STs well.

Right now we are not a good football team. You don't get blown out of playoff games and the Philly game was a playoff game, if you are a good team.

Our talent gives us a chance to be better than average.

The only class they are in is the class of heartless losers when it matters, the class of the over rated "talent" and the class of the overpaid.

I should also throw in the class of quitters as well

I've never been more disgusted with the Cowboys from top to bottom.

Nope, we have Cancer not class.
There is a reason Arizona and the Eagles went to the playoffs and the Cowboys did not. They are the better team this year and earned it. They played like they actually wanted to win and did not cry all the time about not getting the ball enough or Witten, Romo and Garrett ganging up on him. They concetrated on their opponenets and won the games.

no it's not "our" SB. even after the giants beat the cowboys, they still had to beat two teams to win the SB. if for anything, if anyone can claim its "their" SB, its new england. everyone thought the playoffs and the sb game were just formalities until they can be crowned the champs and bestowed upon their perfect 19-0 season.

"our" sb - its that kind of thinking that has doomed the cowboys these recent seasons, more than anything - more than internal conflict, more than team cancers. entitled attitudes like that make the team lazy and not work hard, thinking they dont have to work for anything, not to have to earn anything, thinking all they have to do is show up on the field every sunday and the wins will magically pile up on the win column all the way to the sb.

It speaks to attitude, desire, heart, hunger, determination..........all that "intangible" stuff you can't measure at the combine.

And THAT, then, is all about "atmoshphere". Which, ends up with COACHING.

So, you have to decipher through a couple land-mines to get to the problem. And THAT problem, then lends to the owner/GM who won't hire, or let Professional football coaches actually "coach".

We don't even tackle well. How elementary do you have to be. It's not one or two guys on occasion. It's pandemic.

You strip all 45 guys on any team down to boxer shorts, put a bag over their heads, and you couldn't tell the difference between the Lions, the Cowboys or the Patriots.

It's NOT about physical ability or talent, because EVERYONE in the NFL (with the exception of one or two guys on a team) is a physical animal. Every DB runs a 4.1-40. Every QB has the arm (only 32 jobs in the world). Every lineman can bench twice his weight............so what's the difference maker???

It's all between the ears. And, that's all about motivation, preparation (as you said), and other MENTAL things. And that's where coaching and an expectation and atmosphere of WINNING comes in.

That's something thats taught and drilled and trained into people..........
