These are Jerra's wilderness years. It might take at least 5 years to right this ship again. Keeping Wade is no help in the timeline needed to get this team functioning like a Mercedes again and not like a hot rod that falters and gets fixed and falters again.

Look on the bright side, the Cowboys have finally become a consistent team; the GM is consistently bad, the coaching staff is consistently bad and the players consistently falter in crunch time.

We were headed in the right direction with Parcells but he got the heck out of town when Jerry starting meddling too much again (eg. TO signing). He basically turned the keys to a new ferrari over and Jerry went a little nutsoes and wrecked it. Not shocking at all.

Unfortunately, we're competing with the other incompetent owner/GM in the division (Snyder) for last place. Definitely NOT first or anywhere near "classy".

Only by looking at the entirety of football history can someone make such a statement, and it would only apply historically, not currently.

Agreed. The Cowboys, right now, are the third best team in the division. The problem is this attitude of self entitlement is as present among the players of the team as it is among the fans.

Last year we let a scrub Giants team advance to playoffs and win OUR SB.
This year we let the Eagles advance... the Cards will take it from there.

The Dallas Cowboys organization is giving it away. The windows of opportunity are changing hands because of our shortcomings.

No offense, but how are we better if we lost to them? Would that make the Commanders superbowl champions the year we won the SB and they beat us twice in the regular season?

The Cowboys aren't better than any team that made the playoffs, imo. They may be close, but being close still means they aren't a playoff team, and not on the level that the 12 teams that made the playoffs are on.

Hell no it's not like saying the Giants where better then the PAtriots. first of all the Giants where world Champions. They maybe didnt have a better regualr season but their defense stepped up HUGE when it mattered. They where by no means the more talented team on the field several times ( Dallas PAts) But when push came to shove they playedwith more Gut wrenching Grid IRON HEART!.

Also dont compare the Cowboys to the pats...The only record we broke was getting beat by the most points on a game that decided a playoff birth.. That was a NFl record.

People need to get it straight. The cowboys need alot of work. They have some players in place and some good talent. It's a matter of getting it all together. Hopefully they learn this next season.

No, it isn't. That was one game.

We're talking about seasons here, not just one game. The Giants won the SB last year, and finished 3 games ahead of us this year. The Eagles just went to yet another NFC championship.

Meanwhile, Dallas hasn't won a playoff game in over a decade. Philly and NYG have won several in that span.

By any reasonable measure, the Cowboys are the NFCE's 3rd best team. And Jerry Jones has decided that 3rd place is good enough, and is bringing back largely the same players and coaches.

Its one of the rare times that CCF and I agree or atleast see the point of thread.


EE - you can support that argument for sure. But it still leaves room for the argument that I am making. We are a better team than most out there... we just do not execute like we should be able to. THAT is the ONLY difference between us and the other teams. THAT can be solved. THEN we are a FORCE.
