Yesterday was a great win for us and the franchise but next week is a new week. The Giants will do everything to game plan against us. Expect BP to play Marty ball once more! Was this game a one time thing or will Parcells continue to game plan this way? I think we'll see a Julius off-tackle run to start the game against the Giants again. LOL! Hope not! We need to continue doing exactly what we did this past Sunday. Let's hope this game wakes Parcells up to the fact that this is no longer 1986 and you cannot play "Marty" ball anymore in this league. The run the ball with a cloud of dust days are gone! Air it out compadre! :starspin

I love what we did yesterday, but we still have to run the ball.

Yesterdays game is only going to help JJ get more yards. Our passing game is real, and if we are going to use it, they will have to plan for it. Seven man front and all that. Focus will be off JJ and he can break some now. We just gotta keep using the pass to open the run.

Next week, I think Witten is going to have a huge game. I think NY will try and take away the long ball, (Glenn) and I think the Giants LBs will pay much closer attention to the running game. Put that together with the fact that Witten is going to want to show something to fans about he and Shockey and I see a big game for him.

Exactly.

We've got several people here thinking that being 3-2 is just all that.

Let's get to 7-2. ;)

I agree for this past win to really mean something Dallas must build off it and not have a let down aginst the G-Men. Dallas showed that if they cut down on mistakes they can be a good team but we have also shown that mistakes can kill you. Boys just need to keep working hard and continue to show improvements

I simply cannot believe I am seeing/reading Superbowl talk on this board after one win.

Last week, Oakland was a "must win" or we will be out of the playoffs......and we lost.

Then there is this week.

Only Cowboy fans can go from "what do we have to do to get Leinart" to "we're going to the Superbowl" in one week.

Yea but you do got to admit this was a big win for the Boys. If they can come out and play offense like this every, where they attack the opponent's weakness (not just put up the big passing stats), they can certainly be a playoff team.

No one here says it wasn't a big win. If they continue to play like that - you are correct - they most certainly CAN be a playoff team.

On the other hand, if they are going to give up humungous plays like they did against Oakland and the 49ers, they could be on the outside looking in very easily.

Point being - it was a big win - but it was ONE win. They lose to the Giants at home next week and we're 1-2 at home, against the division.

It just depends if the o-line shows up, that was really what it was about yesterday, even the great cb's can't cover forever and Bledsoe will kill you if you give him time, I also think JJ had a hangover from the wek before and I wonder how his ankle will be today, I think we got to have more rb by committee, it helps you if the injury bug hits you, no rb can go 16 games with high carries, it will bite you later, just look at Tampa without Cadillac, you cannot totally buid offense around one rb in this league they inevitably get dinged up, also wonder about not playing PP, it would be better to work him in the rotation, hopefully they are at least in practice, guarantee you that one of our wr's will get dinged during the year...

They are going to have to accept that they give up the big play every now and then (but no more than that). Which means they have to also play aggressively on both sides of the ball. Pressure the QB and take shots to Glenn and Crayton.

Ya but giving up big plays (Commanders) every 3 minutes is not acceptable. We have problems at FS that can, and have been, taken advantage of.

I have no problem with people getting optomistic about this team. We are much closer to 5-0 then most people imagine. Had we opened it up some early, who knows. But why no enjoy this victory. We beat the team everyone touted as the favorite to go to the SuperBowl this year. I don't see a problem with people thinking we can be contenders, I do.

Exactly. It was a great win. But we've got to have some sort of consistency. I don't care if they beat the g-men by 40-- they just need to win.

Yea but that pretty much goes without saying.

Hey Did Pile start yesterday? I saw him out on the field awful early...didn't notice Davis at all, even on special teams.

We could also very easily be sitting at 1-4 ---- that argument goes both ways.

Either way, I don't see anyone NOT enjoying this victory except Eagles fans quite frankly.
