With a lot of stagnant conversation and a painfully obvious need along the D Line let's see if we can come up with a list of the top guys at each position.

Pretty simple...rank your top 12 at each position from 12 to 1, 12 being the best/most assigned value. After a few days I will add up the total amount of points for each guy and form a list.

I'll Start...
DE
12.Bosa
11.Lawson
10.Spence
9.Dodd
8.Buckner
7.Nassib
6.Ogbah
5.Calhoun
4.Kaufusi
3. Tapper
2. Blair
1. Judon

DT
12. Rankins
11 .A. Robinson
10. Nkemdechie
9. Billings
8. Reed
7. Butler
6. A. Johnson
5. W. Henry
4. Clark
3. C. Jones
2. A. Washington
1. M. Collins

OK the rankings look interesting... What would they look like if you took off the guys that aren't likely to be drafted by the Cowboys... For example I can't see Buckner being drafted by the Cowboys because he doesn't fit their scheme. There are probably some 310lb+ DT's that would not be on the list either.

Irving is the same body type as Buckner and he made a niche in his short time active. Casey Walker was brought onto the roster towards the end of the year and he's 340+....basically, I think fans make up these strict guidelines for a "Marinelli guy" that don't actually exist. Vernon Butler is 320+ and I can't see any logical reason he Rod wouldn't love him. I'll agree that Buckner probably isn't an option at 4, but as far as off of the board because of not fitting the scheme? No way. And I don't see any guys "too big" either.

I think now that we have Thornton at the 1 and Crawford at the 3. The second round is no longer the sweet spot for the Cowboys as far as DT. So what would they look for ? 4th round maybe ? And who is likely to be left.
QB - DE, or DE - QB. CB in 2nd or 3rd. So now in the 4th, maybe a backup 3-tech or 1-tech. And at this point what's left.
Say a S.Day for 3-tech or a Henry at the 1
I would be disappointed that with such a deep DT class (just like RB last year) that they would wait so long, but I would understand it ....

I'll admit I'm not knowledgable enough to rank much out of the top two. So I'm more interested in just reading the rankings.

I'm thinking 2nd round is DB, there's going to be a lot of guys there. If William Jackson is there it's a no brainer.

I'd look at Willie Henry and Javon Hargrove in rounds 3+. Jihad Ward is another guy that Marinelli spent a lot of time with at the Senior Bowl.

Weird way to number things.

Highest rated player gets the most points. How is that hard to understand? The plan was to add up all of the points for each players and rank them. I'll leave it open a few more days to see if enough people do it for me to bother
