Random mock with trade down in the 2nd to late in the second, while picking up a 4th and a 7th. Which team do we trade with? I don't know, but let's assume a team decides to trade up because they've seen somebody fall.
1. Jonathan Cooper OG/OC North Carolina
It's either him or Warmack. I prefer Cooper although I would not be MAD if we drafted Chance. Cooper is everything we need on the interior of this line he's quick, strong, and has a high level of understanding the game. He is also said to be a good prospect at center, so he provides depth and versatility.
2. Phillip Thomas FS Fresno State
With a trade down in the second, this is really good value. Thomas is one of my favorite players in the draft and he is way too underrated. As an avid Bulldog fan, I have grown to really appreciate his game and intelligence of the game. A great center fielder and a true ball-hawk with great range and ability to tackle. Jim Thorpe Award finalist, which I think bodes well for his future in the league. Don't sleep on him! http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools/fres/sports/m-footbl/auto_pdf/2012-13/misc_non_event/Phillip-Thomas-Notes.pdf
3. Montee Ball RB Wisconsin
Reliable, effective, and a student of the game. Montee has experience toting the ball like no other in this draft. He is a smart player who can follow his blocks and find the hole. He also has a nose for the end-zone. Not the fastest, no the strongest, but possesses an all-around game which makes great for a lead back role when needed. There is concern as to whether he'll last in the NFL due to the amount of carries he acquired in college, but in a reserve role, it should prolong his career, with potential to bust out if we need him too.
4a. Akeem Spence DT Illinois
A 3-tech DT that we need and would work great in rotation. Also, he brings some youth to the line where we are quickly aging. Possesses great strength and quickness to get through the gap to disrupt the play. Not a great pass rusher in college, but possesses all the skills necessary to be just that. With our coaching changes on defense I have faith that whoever we draft along the lines will grow to be fine players in the NFL. Great value in the fourth.
4b. Chris Faulk OT LSU
First round talent who has fallen due to ACL injury. Perfect pick and great value in the fourth round if he is here(not out of the realm of possibilities). He is somebody who could compete at the RT position. He can run block, pass block, and provides depth at the tackle position.
5. Josh Boyce WR TCU
Not the tallest, not the shortest. But a player he is. Good hands, great route running, and great speed; Boyce may be one of the more underrated WR in this draft. He has the ability to get separation on the outside, and can move inside to play slot. His route running is impressive and helps him be more NFl ready. Unfortunately, an injury at the combine has his stock down, but that's great news for teams looking to grab players with high ceilings later in the draft.
6. Michael Williams TE Alabama

If it's one thing we've missed, it's a big physical TE who can block. The departure of Bennett was a joyous moment, but when Sunday came around, his ability to block in the run and passing game was dearly, dearly missed. Michael brings that and the ability to be effective in the passing game, but don't expect Jimmy Graham there.
7. Earl Wolff SS NC State
I struggled as to whether place Walter Stewart here in the 7th with his injury risk or go with another DB, specifically SS. After already drafting Chris Faulk and Josh Boyce I thought it would be better to go a more healthy route.
With Wolff you gain depth at a position we need depth, with the possibility to start if he shows enough progress in his game to do so. Could be a special teams contributor. Hits strong, and hits hard and could thrive in this defense.
