Ed Reed. Free safety.
jday...Woods bettered his 40 time on proday to 4.51Playing safety is more about angles and less about overall speed.
he hits and explodes like a missle though
He looks tiny. Look how big his helmet is compared to his body
Not sure if you are aware of this, but that's pretty normal. Most players run faster at their pro day versus combine. The reason for that, I'm not certain; but it has been speculated that the timers are usually the players coaches and they have a tendency to be kinder with their assessed times. Again, I'm not sure if that's the reason or not, but it sounds plausible.jday...Woods bettered his 40 time on proday to 4.51
It's a New DAYGentlemen--Ever since we drafted Xavier Woods in 6th round he has been the rookie i wanted see
succeed the most...he is a bit undersized but he is a total baller and hitter and can cover...not only was he
an all American in football but he was an All American in scholastics so he is smart too..and a very humble
man..and he made some plays last night against Cardinals and big time in preseason too...lets root on
Xavier Woods
jday-- i heard the speculation that usually the day and night before the run the 40 they are in meetings til late so it throws off normal rythym??Not sure if you are aware of this, but that's pretty normal. Possible. Like I said, I don't know why this is so, only that it is a usual phenomenon. I know this because from time to time you will catch the media/fans attempt to pass off a player as faster than other players of like position comparing the player they are championing's pro day numbers to the other players combine numbers, which is why you should always double check the combine numbers that are provided on the various sites that house them.jday-- i heard the speculation that usually the day and night before the run the 40 they are in meetings til late so it throws off normal rythym??
Is he really undersized? He didn't look undersized standing next to Jones.
Woods is 5'11 200 pounds and bob sanders was 5'8 205 for comparison sakes
The play by play guy called him that.Isn't that an incomplete sentence? What about him?
He was the one covering the reciever was wide open for a TD but was called backI can only recall the play where he jumped up and almost picked off the pass. I remember seeing him a lot but just don't remember much about his game last night. I've read multiple posts about how well he played. I just wish I could remember more about his night.
Jones is better in coverage right now. Woods was burnt on the TD tat was called back. He is just a rookie playing out of position in week 3. I know he will improve. Just think it's funny people praise Woods cause they like him and put Jones down cause they dislike him.Complete steal.
Byron Jones runs like a gazelle, but Woods has twice the instincts and will be twice the safety.
I'm ready to see him move to starting unit and Jones back to corner. Think the Cowboys will be better off.
I just got a Lance Dunbar flashback.

Ya but can he long jump?
Jones was really good against AZ and much better than people claim against Denver. He had 3 or 4 negative plays against Denver out of 78 snaps.Keep your workout warriors like jones
Give me a solid football player like woods who can get better with exp
/I'm still having nightmares of jones blocking himself against Denver
I don't know about All Pro but he is will be good enough to win a Super Bowl with. That's good enough for me.check out the pro bowler and all-pro Honeybadger...he is listed shorter and lighter and slower then Woods. this was in college of course.....Woods will be an all pro in 3 years in my humble opinion
