After 4 games,

These are the top 5 in total RB yards and total RB yards per game

Rank Player Team Yds Att Avg TDs Long
1 Frank Gore SF 465 102 4.6 3 32
2 Steven Jackson STL 465 113 4.1 1 37
3 Willis McGahee BUF 439 113 3.9 1 32
4 Chester Taylor MIN 421 111 3.8 1 33
5 Julius Jones DAL 388 86 4.5 2 26

YPG leaders
ATT YDS AVG YPG
1 Tatum Bell RB, DEN 58 295 5.1 98.3
2 Julius Jones RB, DAL 86 388 4.5 97.0
3 Frank Gore RB, SFO 102 465 4.6 93.0
S. Jackson RB, STL 113 465 4.1 93.0
5 Warrick Dunn RB, ATL 82 365 4.5 91.3

Julius Jones is in the top 5 in total yards while playing one less game and sharing time with Marion Barber. There were some people claiming Julius Jones could not play at a high level and wished for Marion Barber to have more carries than Julius. I know it's still early in the season, but if we keep running like we have, Bledsoe can not prevent us from making the playoffs.

Now we just have to figure out 3rd and short.

Watching the game, I thought Jones looked pretty good most of the time.

IMO, Jones is so much better than Barber they cant really be compared.

I just wish they would have ran a draw play at the end of the game with 40 seconds left in the game at the 3 yard line. I think they would have scored to tie it up.

I'm a Julius fan (see my sig). But I think his emergence can be attributed, in part, to Owens' presence. Teams are so aware of our receivers that they can't focus on the run, and it's giving him and the line a little room to breathe.

That's not to take anything away from him, as this is typically how it works. The more good players you have, the better they all look.

I'm very pleased with Julius and hope his success continues. What I like is he's been downright steady. 70+ yards, 94 yards, 122 yards and 100 yards. Hasn't had a bad game yet.

I am one of the doubters of Julius Jones (his toughness NOT his ability) and I must admit that the kid is playing very well so far. He is definitely reaping the benefits of T.O's, Glenn's and Witten's presence but he is also taking full advantage by running hard.

Who knows??? Maybe they would've run it had Bledsoe not tossed the INT on 2nd down. But i agree - I would've tried at least one running play there assuming we didn't turn the ball over. I would've called 2 plays in the huddle on 1st down, a run on 1st down and pass on 2nd down assuming we dont score on 1st down.

Thats what I meant, I would have ran on first down. If he doesn't get it you have 3 more downs to throw it. 40 seconds is plenty of time.

Sure wish they would have kept running Julius yesterday... the Eagles never showed any indication that they could stop us from running the ball.
