Yeah. It's not a bad idea to draft a receiver high and for himto turnout to be a top 5 guy, but to pay to keep him? Probably not often a good idea.
The same could be said for running back when it is quite easy to get a 4ypc back especially behind this line for literally next to nothing in terms of salary cap. It's our style of football of course everyone is going to side with the running back. It is to biased to even have the discussion. There are definitely pros and cons of both, a great receiver also makes a running backs job easier by taking two and some players such as AB get triple covered from time to time. It really depends on what the offense is predicated on, for this specific team I would take a running back over a wr, but there are plenty, yes PLENTY of teams I would feel the exact opposite. A running back isn't routinely going to make plays of 20+ 40+ or even 60 plus in comparison to a receiver, they do different things, it is easy to negate that compared to the typical drive it down your throat with a good back at 4-5ypc.
