- It's obvious, it's scary obvious - I watched the game again, and he's afraid to get caught biting on the play action....this in turn has pushed him off the LOS and he's slower getting to the RB - which is why Jordan ate us up.

- Roy's Rep got ripped and torn after MNF - and now he's floating and playing with caution. :(

wait..arent the coaches making the play calls not the players...cuase roy does waht the play is supposed to be and if he is in coverage he is in coverage and if hes blitzing he blitzes..

he blitzed like 2 times in oakland becuase i think they wanted to keep him back so no more long passes were completed to Moss..That in turn, led to them having a successfull running game since Roy was not in the box

We should be getting enough of a push with our front seven that we should not need our strong safety to be the deciding factor against the run.

Somebody with 3-4 defense knowledge help me on this...Why is it when two recievers are on the same side the two defensive backs arent on the same side as the recievers one defensive back stays on the opposite side with nobody to play????It just doesnt make sense to me, I hear all this about the LB is to get a good jam and then release him to the safety but that makes no sense to me because the safety is the worst DB in coverage. Hell I would do that all game and make davis and williams play Moss, T.O. or whoever every play...Please help me to understand this.

I don't think scared is the right term to use. You might be able to say he's playing tentative, or thinking about things too much...but to say a safety is scared to play is a reach.

It's a new defensive scheme and everyone's going to be making adjustments. I just hope Roy gets back to playing "his" game soon.

Are we talking zone or man coverage? The play involving Moss was a zone cover and after that 1 catch which lead to a FG by Oakland Moss did not do much at all for the rest of the day nor did any of the other Raider WR

The fact that Roy was playing against the deep pass is a good thing against a team like the Raiders. Proof of how successful this game plan worked is that we had a chance to win the game at the end. Moss usually kills us with yards and/or touchdowns and he had neither that game. That is if you don't count the one bomb.

Yeah Roy may not be all over the place like you may want to see him but the coaches are putting our players in a position to win so if you feel that you are not seeing the Roy that you are used too, then go see the coaches.

It's threads like this that makes me question a "fans" priorities when it comes to our team. I think some of us have to think deeply about if we are really for the betterment of the team or if we want to see our favorite players perform even if it costs us a win.
