Hearing time and time again about Garrett making the guilty parties run the plays again after making mistakes. I attended most of the training camp practices when held in San Antonio, including the Parcell years, and rarely saw this. This is a good sign.

Did they use referees during Parcells time? Heard the other day they were now. I know it's not uncommon but I haven't been able to tell it if they have anytime in the last 10 yrs.

Parcells did have referees at some of the practices.

We've heard the same song and dance. I'm a little jaded, but I'll just wait at see.

One of the things Garrett said today was that if the 3rd string oline make a mistake the 1st string must come in for another rep. Imagine the flak the 3rd stringers will get if they do.

Yeah, they used to yank players when Wade was here too. It really doesn't matter.

Garrett sat Witten after dropping a pass. Not playing favorites. Loving it.

Let's see what happens during the games. When Garrett became the interim coach, he implemented a dress code policy. Marion Barber blatantly disregarded it, and nothing was done about it. Garrett says the right things, but in the last 2 1/2 years, his actions haven't supported his catch phrases.

Garrett wasn't the head coach then.

And Barber is no longer here.

Garrett and players have been calling out those who are messing up. Garrett is doing what he has to do, the paid professional now have to go out and do it. Garrett is not the only guy getting paid these players are making big money time to man up and go earn it.

My recollection is that the Barber punishment was kept in-house but obviously no one knows.

Still Marion was gone from the team at seasons end. Because he was unproductive? Yes. But let's not pretend that teams with proper discipline treat their Emmitt Smith's like Curvin Richards.

Effectively creating a disciplined team is not an exact science. See Parcells tenure. Nevertheless, Garrett certainly has the team playing hard. No real disputes there.
